I play on PC but I haven’t heard any complaints from the console crowd. Everyone plays together so it can’t be much different.
One of my really good friends I play this game with plays it on his PS5 and he has no problems. I’m on PC and we group up now and then.
The cross platform thing works really well.
Man, one consequence of lowering to World Tier I for the rest of the story is I am getting slaughtered now at level 50 after bumping back up. Is the fact that I can’t get the first elite in the capstone dungeon down to 75% health before dying a real bad sign or what?
Also, question re: the very end of the campaign, because I both really love and also don’t pay that much attention to the lore:
Neyrelle traps Mephisto in the stone, the signature Mephisto portal back to where Neyrelle wants to go opens up, and Mephisto-as-wolf is waiting for her in it. So he has immediately calmly pivoted, and is ready to accompany her without even saying, like, aw geez wish you hadn’t done that. Ergo, this is what he wanted to happen, right? Which the wanderer and Neyrelle are extraordinarily stupid to not notice or even suspect. I initially assumed Neyrelle was somehow actively betraying or deceiving me because of how that plays out. But is the correct interpretation that Neyrelle and therefore the player is being absolutely snowed and the game doesn’t comment on it?
It definitely is, I’m not sure you’re going to get past it in your current state. It doesn’t get easier after that point.
I’ll say I struggled my first time then dropped back down to WT1 and got to tier 3 renown in each zone so I could have all the skill points maxed. I also tweaked my build a bit. I then bumped back up to WT2 and steamrolled the capstone dungeon, even the final boss who I face-tanked, A little preparation can make a night and day difference.
Also, after capstone I’ve been doing great in WT3. I think the dungeon is a great way to make sure you’re ready for the rest of the game.
Honestly it feels like a waste. Higher level gems, when available, are pretty frequent drops. Dunno if there are any levels you need to craft, but I haven’t had the need now and I’m almost lvl 70.
Thanks
Well the thing is Mephisto is still not safe from Lilith just because he is in the soulstone, he still wants to get the hell away so continuing to help you escape makes sense.
Yeah, what he does makes perfect sense from his perspective. I don’t understand what Neyrelle and the player think is happening, which makes me think the intended takeaway is they’ve been horribly outsmarted. Otherwise, I think the epilogue should be Lorath and you saying holy shit, it was Mephisto all along, how did we not see this, we enabled the worst outcome, etc.
I have nothing to add but I felt left out of the whole posting spoiler party.
First major log-in issue since the game went live.
Launcher, D4 starts, attempts to que, stating less then one minute, then 2-3 minutes later Pops up an error “Unable to find a valid license.”
Which translates to “can’t connect to our servers / authentication”
Maybe a server screw up, maybe a DoS attack (Downdetector says I’m far from alone) - but it reminds me of why I hate online-only options. Oh well.
I’ve had a number of issues, it was worst trying to get in during early access. It smoothed out and I haven’t had one in a long time.
But yes, that is a drawback to an online game, the servers will have problems now and then.
Having to line up to get onto a server to play my single player game is idiotic.
Yeah, it’s broken.
Apparently they are getting a DDOS attack or something, still down today.
Dammit.
Still not getting in? It let me through a couple hours ago.
It’s back up but it illustrates what a joke “you must be online to play your single player game” is. I should have noticed that was the case before I bought it, because had I noticed, I would not have.
Bleh, gotta love seeing unique gloves drop as a necro and they turn out to be frostburns instead of howl from below. The heck am I gonna do with those? I have zero cold damage sources.
I got in. It crashed three times but we made it. We finished the Campaign, then had to break to put the kid to bed while I cooked dinner. Planned to run the capstone dungeon tonight.
Well, now the power is out. Boo.
I thought Act VI was the best part of the Campaign.
I thought Act VI was the best part of the Campaign.
Same, apart from how Donan just dies to a piece of scenery.
