Ooh, I have that heart. So far it’s been a nice-to-have and not really game changing. I was looking at making it maximize essence generation, but I’ll look into that meta.
Just gotta have corpse tendrils and the minions skill in your bar and it will alternate between them. Use reapers to generate more corpses, and if you have the other heart that automatically casts decrepify when enough monsters are around even better. I doubt it’s terribly powerful, but you literally don’t have to do anything but stand there.
Well, I did it. I grit my teeth and ground through the end of the base story, unlocked tier 3, and now I’ll decide if I want to grind more (level 55 only after all), start a new class, do the season thing, or grind my (many) missing statues of Lilith and renown.
I have to say, I hated Act 5. It was full of weird, unrelated, and in many ways detrimental lore, and grindy as heck. That combined with what they did to the Sorc really burned me out. But my friend insisted I’d enjoy act 6 and wanted to talk theories with me, spoiler free.
I’m glad to see (or perhaps sad in fact) that about 70% of my suspicions and expectations were born out, but at it least it wasn’t 100%, for better and for worse.
Now to bed, and to think what I’ll do next, or if it’s time for a break and other games.
you know one of these days i’ll finish a diablo game lol so since MS owns Blizzard now when will D4/3/2/1 be on the game pass ? i wanna play this … i didn’t get to play the demo as much as I liked …that and a bug killed me off time wise …
Ive started the season. The toxic nerd rage on the forums was WAY over the top. It’s fine. I like the hearts. I can’t figure out the purpose of the invokers though. Why bother with the invoker at all when I can just craft the type of heart I want directly?
It is pretty nice. It casts Tendrils every second as well which is extremely nice because that has a long cool down and it a key skill.
The invokers give you stronger versions. They say “Level 2” and maybe go higher as you increase World Tiers.
I really haven’t had any problems with it either.
I think the “tier rewards” are a bit lame, I think we expected more quality of life stuff than cosmetics. That is, I thought the paid tier was cosmetics but the base tiers would be good quality of life stuff… Not so much. At least with D3 seasons, you got cool set armor and pets and stuff.
But it’s fine. The game is fine. It’s not as enjoyable yet as D3 eventually became, but it’s going to be a totally different game in a year. We’ve been through this before.
They try something annoying to monetize the game, the fans revolt, they figure something else out, rebalance until the fans are happy, etc.
More pissed off fans.
Yeah, that’s pretty crappy. And also typical. Definitely not an accident. This happens all the time with microtransactions. You give someone almost enough that they can buy something, but not enough. So when they have those 666 platinum, they feel compelled to spend just a little bit of money to actually afford an item.
Or when (hypothetically) you have an item that costs 600, and another one that costs 1100, and you can only buy 1000 at a time. When you buy that 1000 points of whatever, you can get the item that costs 600, but then you have 400 left over just sitting there, so you feel like it’s wasted unless you buy another 1000, then you can afford the item that’s worth 1100, but now you have 300 left over…
It’s predatory and it works.
Something has changed with itemization a ton since pre-season. I’m 46 and haven’t upgraded any of my gear since my mid 30’s. Everything that’s dropping is still mid/late 30’s. I’m still wearing a blue ring at 46 for gods sake.
I’ve been soloing my new rogue, Stabbitha. Level 18. This is a really fun class to play. So far I’m getting good item drops, so I’ll enjoy it while it lasts.
Unlike my experience with Barb, it doesn’t feel like a slog. Maybe because of the nice, fast attack speed. Enemies keep me on my toes but I haven’t died yet.
I don’t think there are good and bad classes, there are just good and bad classes for specific people. Rogue might just be a good class for you.
I like Sorc and Necro personally, it is just whatever seems to “fit” a person.
Okay, I’ll say it. I’m enjoying myself. Seems weird to say with all the backlash going on about the latest patch and this season. Even with the stupid tier rewards, it’s fun. Those knickers are so bad it’s funny. I tried to humor Blizzard, you know wear them around for a little while, but in the end I had to preserve my character’s dignity.
Level 36 Druid and kinda killin’ it right now TBH. Almost to the… reward ashes thing.
I’m having plenty of fun also, got my druid to 60 and did the torment capstone. Took…quite a while, but i got it done. It is VERY nice to have your entire build available in the codex, which only happened with the season rewards.
Just hit 35 on my sorcerer. I’m having fun, it’s interesting doing a different class than usual. Working on getting ready for WT3.
The announced sorc buffs actually looked interesting.
I’m planning on playing this necro up to 100, mostly because I’m interested in seeing how it feels compared to my barbarian. The season is just way too similar to the eternal realm to hold my interest in rolling new characters every 3 months though. The hearts are basically just double aspect on jewelry. Which does allow for some cooler builds! It’s a good mechanic. It’s just too small.
Yeah, I think I’m one and done. It’s fun enough but I’m not doing this again.
Plus, I bought the Digital Deluxe which gives me the good rewards once, I’m not going to buy the battle pass alone.
I quit Diablo Immortal in part because I got sick of being nickeled and dimed over and over again. I haven’t spent a penny on this game after the initial purchase and don’t plan to.
love the name …
