I’m freak’n out here! I waited too long to see my doc with this horrible sore throat/cough, but got in yesterday and she put me on Azithromycin (3 tabs total) antibiotics and Benzonatate for cough suppression… started feeling better today, but tonight, along with the usual (gaaaagg!!!) mucus drainage, I started to taste blood in my mouth… seemed to be coming from left side of roof of mouth, I have fillings there, but seen a dentist recently so should be no problem (gum disease) there, and no pain from gums or teeth, but the seeping of blood from that side of my mouth is occurring now about every 15 minutes… good grief, this is weird, or is it?
ummm did i mention, the thought of blood makes me queasy :eek:
well, it’s the wknd, I know their offices won’t be open until Monday. I looked at my copy of med diagnosis form and it says URI/pharyngitis, which is also Strep throat… was wondering if my throat could be so raw from the coughing that I’ve ruptured tiny blood vessels in throat area.
if you start to get worse, then you need to go to the ER. It is possible that your throat could be raw and it could be bleeding. Still, if you get worse, you need to go to the ER. Promise us all you will.
it eased up after I went to sleep, thank goodness! I hope the coughing today, does the same, my entire rib-cage, as well as my throat, is terribly sore.
And ditto about the doctors!!! I guess yesterday the doctors had bankers hours
