Diamonds, Booze, and a Cruise MMP

Forgot to say earlier, congratulations, Pearl!

It’s been an interesting day thus far. I’ve had a combination of goofing off, naps, and working on homework.

Next up is dinner and then hopefully actually completing some homework.

I’ve been working on an activity chart where you break down a life skill activity that a Special Ed student might want to do into all of the possible steps involved. My activity: Fixing a bowl of Spaghettios for lunch! So far there are 8 steps involved in this operation.

Find can. Find can opener. Find pot. Find stirrin’ spoon. Open can. Dump in pot. Heat up. Eat right out of the pot over the sink usin’ stirrin’ spoon. You’re right StickyBuns! There are 8 steps to makin’ SpaghettiO’s!

If you’re female there is one more step and that would be wash and dry pot. If you’re a guy that step may be skipped. Then again with some guys the dump in pot and heat up steps might be skipped also.

Personally, I’d add an additional step of puke my guts out after eatin’ cause SpaghettiO’s are Satan’s Eyetalian food.

Soooooooooooo how are yas?

I have a teensy tiny beer buzz going. Just a small one

I have no interest in the football at all but we have been over to the neighbours for some of the pregame stuff and there was beer. So I imbibed. A tad. They are super nice people.

I now have green enchiladas ready to go in the oven and I am having one more beer. Or two.

Spaghettios… lots of items and steps needed. Weird how when you start thinking of how you do something how very complex it can be.

mmmmmms since you’re drinkin’ beerverages you will need to pee. Think about how many steps are involved when you do it.

So we ended up havin’ dindin at that paragon of fine dinin’ known as Three Squares Diner. We had sallit, hamburger steak with gravy and smashed N.O.T.. Served with a side of alleged “Texas toast.” A gourmet delight! Actually they make a pretty good hamburger steak with onion gravy.

Now we’s at da cave and chillaxin’. Stooper Bowl bein’ ignored.

The Publick House is now my favorite restaurant and is our new Super Bowl Sunday dinner.
We started out by getting a basket of bread. We were expecting the typical basket of rolls or biscuits. Imagine our surprise when the basket had 2 basic rolls, 4 pecan rolls, 4 pieces of corn bread, and about 8 slices of pumpkin bread. Heaven.

Then we shared an appetizer - fried ravioli with a cheese sauce. The filling with meat and cheese. They were so good.

Then we each had a cup of soup - butternut squash bisque - very creamy, just the right amount of sweetness.

Then we shared an entree because we wanted to have room for dessert too. The entree was filet mignon over sweet potato fries. It was an odd combination but it was really good and the steak was perfect. After the appetizer, soup, and bread, sharing was definitely the right decision.

Dessert was Indian pudding with vanilla ice cream. I’m used to the stuff at Old Sturbridge Village which is much more of a bread pudding. This stuff was definitely like a pudding but had something resembling a cream of wheat texture. It tasted like gingerbread and was the most delicious dessert I can remember having.

The coffee was good too, which is a definite plus.

The service was excellent and it was really empty in there because of the Super Bowl.

We sat right in front of the fireplace, which was about the size of a twin bed (in width and depth) and about 5’ tall. It was huge. Too bad they were letting the fire die down for the night.

All in all, it was the best meal I’ve had in a really long time. The place is quite pricey but sharing the entree kept it from being horrible. It ended up being $60 but we’ve spent that at normal restaurants where the food and atmosphere are completely absent.

Mooooooooooooooom, We had Papa John’s too. It was nom. Watching the Super Bowl, sorta.

I planned ahead - I am in my jammies now no pesky buttons or belts here!

Enchiladas were delish. I made them a little different aka healthy no sour cream no cheesey sauce compared to the family recipe I had been given and they were soooooo good. mr ems scarfed down a second helping

Dinner sounds yummy cd

It’s creeping towards 1AM and I’m still awake. I am not happy about this development. I want to sleep. I’m tired. But I’m wide awake. Curses!!!
