Diamonds, Booze, and a Cruise MMP

I’m…ermmmmmmm…more than 32. And I’m not getting off anybody’s lawn.

Or going supress the smilies:

:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

So there! :stuck_out_tongue:

And I laughed really hard at both twicks’s and Ellen’s notes. (Does that mean I should climb into the handbasket?)

I want swampy’s days off, please. Still irked at irk. Possibly more irked than when last mentioned.

Hugs all.

Fried chikin, green beans, smashed N.O.T. with chikin gravy, sausage/apple stuffin’ (recipe says casserole but it’s stuffin’) and peach cobbler. Dindin was teh nummy!!!

OYKW says we shall do sump’n celebratory this weekend. I suggested he figure out if he can take a day or two off. I could celebrate that.

Sorry, no prancing in the MMP. :stuck_out_tongue:
I am currently dyeing my hair. Yes, I know I was going to wait but I didn’t. Honest to God this is the worst smelling dye that I have ever ever ever smelled. I mean, you could pass out from this stuff. Also, I really could have used more than one tube. Also again, I tried to remove the purple and it wouldn’t come out.:smiley: So, I’m attempting to cover it up. Should be very interesting to see what I look like when I’m done and whether or not I’ll be making a trip to have the beauty school girls laugh at me and then try to correct what I’ve done.

::Pirouettes and prances through MMP::

:p:p:p:p

Have been a good girl and worked on Valentine stuff. I’m ahead of schedule and don’t have much left to do. So, yay!

Hope everyone is having a lovely Thursday evening.

Is it Firday yet?

Hugs.

No Ox tonight. I hate waking up feeling all wooly after taking the stuff, and it’s a tricky balance. Take too much, and I’ll be sleeping until after lunch. Not enough, and it leaves me jittery and unable to sleep.

At long last, my post-op appointment is tomorrow. Many questions I have for them…

Good morning and happy Firday!! **FCD **decided to get up and out early today, and since I was nice and made his lunch, I’m up too. In fact, I’m caffeinating.

About a month ago, I got an email from the folks who claimed they wanted to hire me saying they might hear within the week. I wrote back and reminded them I’d be unavailable till the first of Feb. No further emails during my absence… so yesterday, I wrote back and said “I’m home - but since I didn’t hear from you, I assume there is no job.” The response? * I’m still actively waiting… for word.* :dubious:

My sweetie’s company is in the running for the same contract as the ones who are talking to me, and he thinks the decision has been made and these folks didn’t get it. I have no idea what “actively waiting” means. Lucky for me, I’m not desperate for a job, but doggone, this would be hell if I was!

Loverly dinner with daughter last night. I opted to roast the chickie rather than mess with the rotisserie. It was still good. Tonight, there shall be meatloaf.

Plans for the day, you ask? Laundry, taxes, maybe a bit of tidying. We shall see. For now, I just need to wake up. And forage for breakfast. Or maybe crawl back into bed for a few hours. Decisions, decisions…

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 53 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 70 so it should be a nice day. I envision some cave defilthyfyin’ since I don’t have to go to irk and the master bathroom is kinda ick right now.

OYKW is gonna figure out if’n he can take this afternoon and Monday off so we can just hang out together which would be especially nice. Thus the motivation to defilthyfy this mornin’.

gotti appropriate/inappropriate appendages crossed for a good doc report today.

Now I shall seek more caffiene and some brekkie. Then, defilthyfyin’ commences!

Happy Firday Y’all!

Morning! I’m up, caffeinated, and off to do laundry before work. I’m a semi responsible almost 41 year old. :moshes on BBBobio’s lawn : :p:D

Last night I defilthified Gordie and the apartment, all during commercials during the hockey game.

Congrats on the job, swampy!:D:D:D

mmmm, any night is a good night for martini night.

I really ought to use the timer function on my coffee maker more often. Not only is it a lovely aroma to which to wake up, but it means I don’t have to wait to caffeinate!

Hi y’all.

That’s it, that’s all I got today. Busy week. Wife sick with a bad tummy flu and me working late hours.

Buh bye.

This is my second attempt at being awake this morning. The first one, several hours ago, was highly unsuccessful. This one’s going to stick, I think, but my motivation to mosey towards the shower just isn’t there. I’ll get there eventually.

My hair color which I dyed back to my natural color looks good. It didn’t cover the purple but if I wear my hair down it’s very hard to notice that it’s there.

My sweet boy came up to hang out with me this morning. It’s funny how dogs can tell how your feeling and know how to make you feel better.

Have a great Friday, everyone!

It’s YOU! I knew there was someone here the same age as me!

I miss having a timer on mine but I love my Bunn and I wouldn’t replace it for a timer. Besides, it keeps the water hot so it only takes about 2 minutes to brew anyway. Wake up, put the dogs out, start the coffee, go to the bathroom, brush teeth - coffee’s done.

Of course the coffee I just drank was made at 5am because Sweetie’s working on a 3-day basketball tournament so he has to be at Rhode Island College super early every morning. Today is the first day of my 4 day weekend so I slept late. Unfortunately the water company lady called me at 8:30 and made me get up. After months of phone tag, I finally have an appointment to have our water meter replaced with a drive-by one. Southbridge is entering the 21st century!!

A bit later today I’ll be picking up my mom for a visit. We’re going to UConn. Yes, I go to school on my days off. It’s for good reason though. The Benton has an exhibit on women’s clothing from the Industrial Age and my mom LOVES stuff like that.
Had dinner with some friends last night. One of them is up from South Carolina for a visit so we got together and had so much fun. It’s amazing how much the conversation of 4 high school friends changes between 18 and 32…it’s even more amazing how much it stays the same! I love my friends.

I’m finally getting the hang of the school thing. Yesterday was a good day. I went to every class, I didn’t fall asleep in any of them (did I tell you about that?), I took good notes and even participated in 2 classes. I didn’t pay attention in my chem lecture but that’s because I was rereading the last chapter. I’m having trouble remembering how to name compounds and it’s making this week’s chapter difficult for me. It doesn’t help that this chemistry textbook says some things differently than my last chemistry textbook and it’s confusing me. I even remembered to take my climatology quiz on Wednesday. I still have a lot of adjusting to do from going to school mostly online to mostly on site but it’s getting better.
Forgot to mention - I think I broke a couple laws of physics last night - without breaking any speed limits. I got from school to my house (normally 45 minutes), let the dogs out to pee, went to the bathroom, checked my email, let the dogs back in, and then drove from my house to the absolute farthest point in Worcester from my house (normally over an hour because I don’t take the Jeep on the highway…usually) - and I did it all in an hour and a half! I took the Jeep on the pike! It can go 70! Not bad for a 23 year old vehicle with a questionable transmission.

We took the mother in law out to dinner to celebrate her birthday last night and gave her some pretty posies, too.

After that we took her home, then went home ourselves. My husband watched television until he dropped off to sleep and then I sent him to bed. I only got to watch television for 15 minutes or so because the stupid lamp in my television burned out again. Stupid piece of crap! I can’t afford to go out and get a new television right now, so I’ll have to search the interwebs for a new lamp. We just replaced the lamp a couple of years ago. They sure don’t build stuff to last.

There’s a TV up in my son’s room, but I’m not going to drag the thing downstairs. Although it’s only a 32 inch television, it weighs a ton. If I want to watch TV, I’ll have to go upstairs.

This weekend promises to be busy…again. Sigh…I’d really just like to stay home and take care of things that need doing around the house. However, tomorrow we’re going to hang out with my daughter and her boyfriend all day. Sunday, my husband is helping a friend offload a bunch of firewood at another friend’s house, and then we’re going to first friend’s house to watch the Superbowl. I could care less about the stupid game, but I always have a good time with my friends.

You actually repair your tv? My grandfather, the retired tv repairman would be proud of you.

My plans for the day have changed. Mumsey is still feeling quite blechy so she is gonna stay home and rest. I actually did wimble a bit about what to do with my new-found free time. You might be happy to know that I’m having an attack of uncharacteristic responsibility. I have decided to try to figure out what the hell chemistry is all about.

Wish me luck and if you don’t hear from me within 5 hours, send in the marines.

Hey, count me as part of the 32 club prances around on the lawn At least until next month :stuck_out_tongue:

Prancing: OK
Cavorting: Not OK

See? Just one? No puppies or kitties were harmed in the creation of this post.

cavort cavort cavort

Hahaha!! You can’t stop me!!*

*Well, actually, yeah, technically you can

Tested the infusions last night. The pineapple and sake was REALLY good, although you can’t taste the brown sugar at all. It doesn’t need it. The clementines don’t seem to have absorbed anything. I don’t know if it’s because I peeled them into sections instead of cutting them or if it’ll just take longer. I’ll test them again when I get home.

I’m sleepy and I don’t want to be at work.

Just a quick shot past. MIL hasn’t been doing well. Doctor says its “somewhere between the beginning of the end and end of the beginning”. IE - she’s forgetting how to swallow and getting moved to a liquid diet. This adulthood stuff blows.

Hugs and love and best wishes to all.

I’m wondering, if the skin on each section of clementine helps to keep the juice in, wouldn’t it also help to keep the vodka (or whatever) out?

I’m impressed with the federal government. Sweetie’s tax return has already been direct deposited. That’s less than a week after filing. Nice. Already called to get the oil tank filled!
