The reason I believe so is that the statements made don’t describe any kind of afterlife, but rather someone having an unhappy normal life. For instance, IIRC, Diana would even receive counseling. She also would have hip pain and take medication. I don’t think anybody actually believing in an afterlife would describe a person whose legs hurt when she goes seeing her psychiatrist if she forgot to take her prescription drugs.
I was hoping coryraisa could let me know what Warren Zevon has been up to. He probably just sleeps a lot.
That’s a very ancient, very traditional concept of afterlife. There are plenty of stories in which the afterlife is indistinguishable, at least at first; people may not realize for some time that they are dead. Consider all the tombs in which the dead are provided with things that earthly people would need and want, but which ethereal spirits have no clear use for.
I thought someone saw Warren Zevon drinking a Piña Colada at Trader Vic’s…
…his hair was perfect!
Frosm the medium: “Lady Di says… she ORDERED her chauffeur to drive 100 miles per hour… so she could to get to the video store… to rent Private Parts.”
I thought he was spotted at Lee Ho Fook’s getting a big dish of beef chow mein.
They can still see his headless body stalking through the night in the muzzle flash of Warren’s Thompson gun
Not really. But there are some good things there. But the poor dear misses her sons.
Dunno…haven’t seen him at all.
Thanks. I think also Diana had a quite a bit of anger because she’d found out that when they took her to the hospital, she knew it was no use, but that they’d triaged her ahead of some other patients because of her title.
This really made her angry and for a while, she was rather sarcastic a bit, then silent and brooding.
She was also very upset and angry that the media dragged out the time between her accident and her actual death out so publicly; she was upset that her loved ones and so many people had been put thru the agony of a four or five hour wait.
She felt the media should have waited, then reported after she died, so people, esp. her loved ones could get the bad news quickly, mourn, then move one.
She also still has lingering fears and worries about the rest of her family, even Charles and Camilla.
Naap, I’m still here. Been busy, but haven’t vanished. Love reading the other posts, though; I don’t always log in to do so, but I’m still around.
I don’t think so, although I think they met. She’s also met Eleanor Roosevelt and Annie Sullivan.
Yep. I never had illusions that the afterlife was “perfect.” Anything can happen in hundreds of years. Some souls are re-incarnated in another body after a hundred or so years, sometimes it’s a thousand years before re-incarnation.
I think someone did suggest to Diana that she can “try again” for another life when she was feeling so down and crying over her own life. She still often feels down about her life and feels as if she “let a world down.”
It really makes her sad that there is still lots of bitterness between Charles and her siblings.
Funny one!!!:D:D:D Lol!
She does have an expressive face still now. In her life, she certainly did. That’s a large part of how I knew ahead of time that despite her attempts at smiles, she was not happy with Charles.
Do you believe all this stuff you’re posting?
Well, that’s just disappointing.
I believe the stuff about Chuck. I didn’t need a Ouija board to figure out she loathed him well before the divorce. Her tells were as plain as the nose on her face, so to speak.
What did she think about the song Elton John performed at her funeral, the rewritten “Candle in the Wind?”
