Could this be the return of Moon Maid, Junior Tracy’s former wife, who was last seen being killed in a car bomb meant for Dick Tracy back in 1978? When Max Allan Collins took over the writing of the strip back in the 70’s he got rid of all the science fictiony aspects of the comic strip-space coupes, air cars, teleportation, and adventures on the moon. The current writers have been using a lot of the old villains lately, but a revival of the weird 70’s seems rather bizarre to me.

I still read Dick Tracy, The Phantom and Mandrake The Magician every day. 
Wow, I remember the weird moon car", and all the other stuff added to this 1930’s style detective strip. I always thought it strange.
Does the strip still feature BO Plenty?
Yeah, flying to the moon like driving from Maine to New Hampshire. 
BO and Gertie are still there. Chief Patton retired for awhile and Lizz became the new Chief of Police. When Dick Locher retired from writing the strip in January of 2011, Mike Curtis took over. He immediately brought Patton out of retirement(along with a host of recognizable villains from yesteryear), and cranked the violence up to 11.

Man…“Mandrake the Magician” is still running! Along with “Mark Trail”, and “Flash Gordon”-I though these strips were long gone!
