In fairness to Beryl Mercer, she was only 38 when Betty Jane Graham, “Little Miss Vitaphone”, was born in 1920.
Beryl and her husband Holmes Herbert were both 31 years old on a ship passenger manifest from August 1913.
I’m glad they didn’t keep that name. Somehow, Bugs Bunny eating a carrot while resting upon a shield emblazoned with the letters “DASC” doesn’t seem right. Although “What’s up, DASC?” would make a good slogan.
