Did anyone take tomorrow off work

I’m going to get pizza, drink whiskey and cross my fingers.

I voted early, donated money, and don’t live in a swing state.

I’m taking Wednesday off, because I’m an elections (“poll”) worker and I’ll be dog tired.

I am given 4 hours off (Federal employee) to vote even though I already voted weeks ago via mail. Gonna work my 4 hours, cook (Nawlins Stuffed Bell Peppers), go to my second job and work another 4 hours, go to HEMA pratitice (Historial European Martial Arts aka a cooler version of Fencing) head home, shower, get inhebriated and head to bed. I’ll see the projections hopefully the next day(for Harris) when I’m heading to the gym at 5 am

Hell, no! I’m thankful that I have something to distract me from the election for 8 hours.

I thought about it but did not. I mailed my vote and it’s been counted. I’m not in a sales or other high engagement position.

Me, too. Ironically, my distraction is helping people vote…even people voting for Trump!

Cheers to you. That’s just about heroic work.

Thank you. I am fortunate to be on a great team. It’s like that movie “Same Time, Next Year”…or like a reunion of old friends. Friends who mean business.

I work from home and control my own schedule, mostly. So I guess I’m taking the day off from work tomorrow except for responding to calls or emails from clients, which won’t be too onerous.

I plan to enjoy a celebratory bottle glass of champagne sometime tomorrow night.

Not me. Don’t work.

My daughter is off work. She going to a Election watch party. Costumes will be worn.
They’re all Democrats. So I feel it’s safe.

Ditto! After the anguish of 2016, I don’t plan to pay much attention until things start to become definitive.

That could change, I suppose.

I work from home as well, so will do some work stuff, take my kids to school, go knock on some doors, come home and maybe rock back-and-forth quietly in a corner with some liquor.

I took comp time at the PD for both Tuesday and Wednesday night. Got me a bottle of Bookers which I’ll drink no matter what happens.

I am keeping regular hours at the sporting good store I own but I employ a manager to deal with that.

I used to take election day off; my boss thought I was nuts. I only work Sunday now so I don’t have to ask for it off anymore.

I’ll watch 'till I can’t keep my eyes open anymore. Though, I will be glad, Glad, GLAD! The election is over. I live in MI, and I’m political junky, but the ads have driven me over the edge into the abyss.

I’ve already voted and it’s the busiest time of the year for me at work. So I’m working. I wasn’t going to order a pizza, but that sounds like a good idea.

I’m working from home, which I hope will be a good distraction until it’s late enough for results to start coming in. I wish I could just go to bed early and read the news when I wake up, but 1) no way my anxiety and insomnia combo lets me do that, and b) I think I’d have to sleep for a long time. I expect that it will take some time to get solid enough results in the closest states.

I may take Wednesday off though, if I’m up all night.

I’m working Tuesday and Wednesday, and have out of town guests coming in Thursday through Tuesday - we’ll keep each other chill and celebrate or commiserate. And they won’t have to be in Texas during a Trump election fallout period.

There are two unopened bottles of wine, one of vodka, 2 of rum, one of amaretto, and several various partials of many flavors to carry us forward.

Retired, I’d take that day anyway. I’ll be hiding under the table.

I don’t drink, but I may well abandon my food/calorie reduction and have tortilla chips and queso dip. I love a good excuse.

Same exact (also in MI). I literally hate the ads, ESPECIALLY the ones from the right which are just blatant lies. I’ve had to mute the anti Kamala/Slotklin ads whenever I see them. They had a series of new ones tonight with a strange looking woman proclaiming Trump is protecting women.
