Did Fred Goldman Ever Collect From OJ Simpson?

Fred Goldman (father of Ron Goldman, who was brutally murdered by Simpson), sued Simpson in civil court and won.
Did he ever collect on his judgement? No doubt Simpson used lots of tricks to avoid paying, but exactly how do you avoid paying off on a judgement?
Simpson certainly has plenty of money, as he had a pretty high lifestyle (before his incarceration in Nevada).
Anyway, was Goldman ever able to collect anything? Or did Simpson hide assets, use homestead rights to keep from paying?

IIRC, Simpson’s 25K/month NFL pension is untouchable in a judgment. He also moved to Florida so that his home could be 100% untouchable.

Goldman did get a few things. He sold OJs Heisman Trophy as I remember and continued to go after him in court to be a nuisance, but he never has collect the full amount (which keeps accruing interest)

Simpson moved to Florida so that his residence couldn’t be seized to satisfy the judgment against him. After Simpson wrote the book “If I did it”, Goldman got the rights to it and had it published with a redesigned cover. See it here.

IIRC he also got some of the collectible stuff Simpson was fighting over in the Vegas hotel room.

Interestingly the Smithsonian has his "acquittal suit"

Why? I can understand that a small portion could be kept by him for minimal living expenses, but are you saying that the whole thing is untouchable?

Yes.

Goldman also credits his aggressive attempts to collect on the judgment (such as getting the rights to Simpson’s book) as directly leading to Simpson’s need to sell his memorabilia (because his pension was apparently not enough money to support his lifestyle), which led to the robbery/kidnapping incident in Vegas, which led to Simpson’s current 33 year prison sentence. Poetic justice, if you ask me.

Has there been any indication from Goldman that he’s extremely happy with how that worked out?

Is the Pope Catholic?

Does a fat kid love cake?

I take that as a no then.

With OJ in prison, is his NFL pension just going into some bank account somewhere and sitting there until he dies (and his kids collect it)?

But just think how much happier he could have been. If only OJ had actually shot someone during the incident. Then he’d have faced a murder charge and a possible death sentence. If he’s happy about causing robbery/ kidnapping to happen, just think how he’s feel about causing murder to happen. Nice guy.

Yes, poor OJ. Way to hold a grudge, Fred!

Love it. The “If” in the title is tiny, and O.J.'s name appears nowhere on the cover.

Maybe I’m being whooshed here, but I’ve never heard Fred Goldman state that he wishes OJ would commit anotheer murder.

I was freaking happy dancing when the OJ “GUITY” verdict came in. At last that asshole is whee he belongs.

That’s what his cellmate said.

Thanks for the info-I am really happy for the Goldmans-I mean, having your son murdered horribly-then being mocked by OJ and his slimy lawyers.
Hopefully , OJ will die in jail, and maybe wind up in Hell-God knows, he desrves it.

How did I miss that OJ was in jail? Man, I’m getting really good at ignoring stuff lately.

Now that he’s in jail, he probably has a much better chance of “finding the real killers” than he did when he was out looking for them on golf courses.
