Will finally go to jail, just not for the reasons many think he should.

After dodging the mother of all bullets Simpson has got to have the world’s poorest impulse control.
But now he’ll never find the real killer!
C’mon, how much does a mirror cost?
Well, the ones which enable the undead to see themselves are pretty expensive from what I hear.
Doncha see, it’s all part of his plan to find the real killer? He wanted to go to prison so he can infiltrate the underground hit squad network! It’s all an elaborate sting operation and justice will ensue.
I just dozed off, woke up, read the thread title and thought it was October 3 1995 and I had dreamed the last 13 years.
If only. . .
I heard this on the 6:00 morning news. I did my Nekkid Happy Dance through my apartment.
I am so glad the Germans have a word for the concept of schadenfreude.
Film at 11.
Ah, I love the smell of karma in the morning.
For the lawyers out there, will he really get life? I heard on sportscenter last night before I went to bed that he could get anywhere from 5 to life.
I haven’t read much about the case recently but from what I remember, it was basically armed robbery, wasn’t it (although I did read something about kidnapping, not sure how that works)? If it was anyone other than OJ would he reasonably be looking at life?
I, like any other sane person, think he was guilty of murder but the fact remains he was found not guilty so can that reasonably be held against him when it comes to sentencing?
Will he really get life in jail? What’s a reasonable sentence for a crime like this, not taking into consideration his previous reputation.
I’m hoping 20+ years, which should take care of him finally.
As today’s guilty verdicts (for armed robbery, etc.) were read, it’s the first time I’ve seen Simpson looked worried, afraid. I’m so used to seeing him look smug or falsely cheerful. It was a relief to see that there’s still some humanity left in him. Pundits are saying he’ll likely be sentenced to 20 years.
As we all know, he got off scot free for the double murder of his ex-wife and Ron Goldman, a great miscarriage of justice IMO. (And if you want to debate it, start a new thread.) His luck finally ran out. WTF was he thinking with this latest stunt in Vegas I’ll never know. Maybe he was trying to get caught.
I hope that this sentence offers him the freedom and solitude to account for the choices he’s made. I hope that he will eventually find the grace and humanity to confess to the murders he committed in a fit of rage. I hope he will make peace with the Brown family and apologize to the Goldmans for the hell he’s put them through over the years.
Despite his criminally reckless behavior, I see a spark of humanity in him that makes me long for his redemption. I hope that he finally gets the load off his shoulders that he’s been carrying these years, fronted by that pseudo-cockiness that he’s now known for.
What a waste of a human being. What a shame.
He’s finally behind bars where he belongs. Better late than never.
Yep, like **Tuckerfan **said.
Merged two threads on the Juice. Considering what he’s been through before, I’ve always been amazed Simpson put himself in this position again. No great loss for anybody, though.
Has anyone seen a comment by Fred Goldman, Ron Goldman’s Dad yet?
Justice delayed is justice denied. But at least it’s something.
Well, don’t keep us in suspense – what do the Germans call it?
Anyone buy the theory that OJ’s behavior can largely be attributed to post-concussion syndrome?
