YAY!!! I’ve met him – spent some time hanging out with him, Nicole and Ahmad Rashad, on a ski trip in Vail. Granted, that was over 25 years ago, but even then he was an arrogant prick, and extremely rude to Nicole. I was not the least bit surprised to learn that he was physically abusive to her later in their relationship, and completely convinced he killed her and Ron. He’s finally getting what he deserves for a life of violent crime. It’s about time!
I once asked the only person I know who knew OJ what his opinion on the man was. He pointed out that physically OJ had this big body and this little tiny head.
That’s some great symbolism there–all body, little brain.
<Homer Simpson>Those Germans have words for everything!</hs>
I thought most people were struck with how large his head is. I remember him on Letterman talking about how he’s had a huge head since he was a kid and how kids teased him about it.
No.
I hope the murdering fucker rots. Although this will greatly increase my enjoyment of Naked Gun.
Who is this “OJ Simpson” person?
Now you guys finally understand what we locals mean with, “What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas!”
PS to Californians: Feel free to send Robert Blake and Phil Spector over to visit some weekend and we’ll see what we can do there as well.
No, his previous trial does not enterinto anything since he was found not guilty, and you can not be tried for the same crime twice.
So 13 years to the day after getting off the murder charges he’s found guilty of these crimes - after a 13 day trial, and 13 hours of jury deliberation.
Karma, anyone?
Sounds more like something to use upon appeal to me.
I didn’t follow the trial. All I know from snatching words out of the ether is that OJ thought a sports collector stole his stuff. He and some friends went to get it back and somebody had a gun.
Did somebody really steal OJ memorabilia? Did anyone ever ask OJ why he didn’t just call the cops?
Right, but that doesn’t prevent a jury and judge from thinking and acting on his past murder trial. All they have to do is not mention it, but can act on those feelings by giving him more then the minimum sentence for his crimes in this case.
I don’t agree with that, if that were to happen.
I bet you can’t remember who Huckleberry Hound is, either.
Don’t worry…we’ll remember it for you, wholesale.

My understanding, based on a couple of articles, was that the prosecution theory was that OJ Simpson had a rather large civil judgment against him based on a finding of liability in a wrongful death case filed against him a number of years ago, and therefore Simpson was hiding a number of assets so that they couldn’t be seized to pay the judgment. (Although the judgment is large, most of Simpson’s assets are exempt from seizure – house in Florida, pension from the NFL, etc. I don’t believe sports memorabilia – i.e., simple personal property – would be exempt.) Thus, Simpson couldn’t call the cops to say that the items had been stolen because then he’d be going public with the fact that he owned these items. Indeed, if the items had been recovered by the police, that would make it even easier to levy on them.
This is based on an utterly imperfect knowledge of what actually happened. It should therefore be classified as “rumor” or “gossip” and dismissed accordingly.
I thought it was some items he had lost in the civil trial that were being resold.
Well, Fred Goldman’s attorney is pretty puffed up about this. He (not Goldman, the attorney; I forget his name) claims that his refusal to let OJ off the hook drove him to this, and he seems proud of it.
How in the name of all that is evil can a person be smart enough to get away with a vicious bloody double murder and then stupid enough to do this? If I were living that life, I would never even jaywalk for the rest of my life.
His attorney is claiming the previous trial influence the jury? Well, no shit Sherlock.

JUICESTICE
The Germans call it ‘Fickdichselbstarschloch’.
What a difference the choice of defense attorney makes. He should have dug up Ronnie Cochran and used him again. The results wouldn’t have been any worse.
