Did Hitler partake in "scat"?

I have heard several interesting facts about Hitler over time, such as accounts of his drug use and sense of humor (didn’t really have on, only laughed at the pain of others). But last night somebody told me that Hitler liked to be pooped and peed on when having sex. Has anyone else heard this? What about other crazy facts about Hitler?

I thought you meant scat as in the singing style. Hell, maybe that’s where Cab Calloway got his influence.

I have listened to Herr Hitler’s speeches, and even though I’m German, I can’t for the life of me understand some of his words.

Wonder how his speeches would sound sampled?

BTW, I know Adolf was Austrian by birth. It’s still hard to understand his words when I hear them, though. Maybe it’s because I’ve been in the States so long.

There are a lot of rumors about Hitler, and they remain that - just rumors. Here’s a well-written review that touches on the subject. The book it reviews, The Hidden Hitler, makes the contention that Hitler was homosexual.

The reviewer quotes Ian Kershaw, who wrote a lengthy biography of Hitler, and talks about his unusual sex life :

Kershaw devotes just the odd paragraph to Hitler’s sexuality. His sexuality was “disturbed”. . . . Hitler was secretive about his private life, particularly the years when he was down and out in Vienna and Munich. Kershaw says attempts to explain Hitler’s sex life will “inevitably remain speculative”. Suggestions that Hitler’s repression later gave way to perversions such as sado-masochism rest mostly on “rumour, hearsay, surmise and innuendo”. Power, Kershaw contends, was Adolf’s aphrodisiac. In short, Hitler wanted to lay the whole nation – and did.

The writer of the review also makes the good point that the rumors and discussion of his sex life aren’t that meaningful, unless you just happen to like celebrity gossip. From the review :

He was a lunatic, but a clever one, and he changed the world more than any other man last century. So it doesn’t matter too much that his father hit him, or that the world spurned his paintings, or that, like millions of his countrymen, he felt betrayed by the armistice of 1918. It doesn’t matter if he was homosexual. None of these things comes close to explaining six million murdered Jews and God knows how many millions of murdered Russians.

Seriously? I really, really doubt it. Hitler was exceedingly secretive with his private life, especially his love life. Even if he was into scat, I doubt the women in his life would have ever told anyone, let alone tell anyone himself.

Oh, but I WAS talking about Hitler’s singing career! And then I pondered his sexual fetishes immediately afterwards.

It just so happened that the term for both the style of singing I thought he might have enjoyed is also the same term for the disgusting (in my opinion, no offense) sexual fetish that I described!

Imagine that! What are the odds? A royal flush?
