Hume Cronyn is a highly respected Canadian actor and (like his late wife Jessica Tandy) was a Tony Award winning thespian. He’s probably best known to younger generations from the Cocoon movies, although his acareer was a long and distinguished one of both stage and screen.

No disrespect meant towards anyone’s feelings, but…when I learned the news (just now), my reaction was the same as learning of Don Ameche’s and Jack Palance’s deaths: “He was still alive? I thought he died years ago!” Seriously.

Don’t worry about it, ivylass. Sometimes those threads get past us, especially if you don’t visit the board very often. By the time you do, the thread’s on page 10 of the new-post threads, and you don’t always get to it.
