Did Kamala Harris work at McDonalds?

To prove my point, check out this post from @Smapti in another thread:

[Moderating]
To the extent that this thread ever had any factual content, I think we’ve moved well beyond that. Moving to P&E.

“Which McDonald’s did you work at?”
“The one on Main Street in Alameda.”
“LIAR! There is no McDonald’s on Main Street in Almeda,”
“There was 40 years ago.”
“She had it torn down so we could not prove her lies. Burn her! She is a heretic and a witch!”

More ominously, the hospital she claims to have been born in was mysteriously torn down as well. What is she hiding? How do we know she was ever born?

I have this problem as well, which is why I can never run for president.

According to the Democratic presidential nominee, much of it was spent behind the cash register, fryer, and soft-serve machine at a McDonald’s in Alameda . . .

If when the readout comes back from social security, it turns out to really be Berkeley, there will be hell to pay

I can understand being behind the cash register, but what was she doing behind the fryer and soft-server machine?

Oh, and I spotted another lie. She said she did it to earn “pocket money”, but none of the money was actually in her pocket at any time. It was in her purse.

No it’s perfect! They can’t find the skeletons in your closet if the closet and everything in it was demolished. You have it made!

This was 40 years ago
Often purses were called, “pocket books,” so there.

Alas, there’s still the life drawing modeling mentioned above. There’s evidence. It’s very strange to look in a dorm room window and see a nude portrait of yourself on the wall.

This isn’t directly about Mcdonald’s, but it’s relevant to this thread - Aaron Rupar writes on how Harris, unlike previous candidates, is upending Trump’s campaign by refusing to engage with his namecalling and conspiracy theories.

This thread is making me feel weird. I’ve had dozens of jobs, starting when I was about 14, and I can recall faces and names of many, many people I’ve worked with.

Am I some kind of freak?

Yes. Yes, you are. But that’s just incidental…

“She lied about working at McD’s”. That could have a small chance of resonating if she lied about it because she was mega-wealthy and was pretending to be a working stiff. Of course, if they ever did a humble-off, trump and JD would lose bid time.

Nah. The individual variation on memory is pretty substantial. I can recall an awful lot of obscure shit (Hermissendra crassicornis! I learned that name taking Marine Invertebrate Zoology in the mid-1980’s at about the same time I was working at McDonald’s), but I’ve always been pretty poor at people’s names. I don’t think it is particularly rare for some folks to have excellent recall of them - I just suspect it isn’t the norm.

I’m the same. I can remember people from every job I’ve held.

Now, that only goes back 30 years so maybe that’s the difference?

I heard that Vance worked as a male stripper in Vegas when he was 19. If he denies this, let him provide the records to PROVE that he did not work as a male stripper in Vegas.

Getting fired from a furniture store for moral turpitude does not count as working as a male stripper

It does if he was stripping varnish from furniture as part of his job.

You need moral turpentine to strip varnish.
