He keeps arguing in the Trump/Harris debate thread that Harris needs to prove to voters she actually worked at McDonalds and isn’t lying so that independent and undecided voters will vote for her. Because somehow these people are completely oblivious to the fact that Trump is a compulsive liar. They are somehow unsure if Trump and the Republican jackass patrol might be lying about Harris’s claim to have worked at McDonalds. They somehow will line up in droves to vote for Harris if only she will prove she worked for McD 30 Years Ago!
@filmore isn’t sincerely worried that Harris might not convince enough undecided voters to support her. He’s just spinning up does dopers to get us riled up. He can go stick his dick in a light socket. He can go lick Putin’s butthole just like that orange clown he clearly worships.

The fact the “Did Harris work at McDonald’s thread” has as many posts as it does is something I find incredibly annoying. It should have dropped like a rock with maybe 25 posts.

He is very frustrating, but I see no sign he is trolling. He just disagrees with everyone that this isn’t an important thing for her to respond to.
There isn’t any part of their post that reads like they are enjoying making people angry, or wanting to cause others to fight. They are just posting what they believe Harris should do, and are likely frustrated that no one is listening to them.
Sure, agreeing to disagree would be far less frustrating, but he’s definitely not MAGA. He just believes that Trump’s smear tactics work and that Harris fight back.
And, no, if someone is not already voting for Harris, then they clearly aren’t clear that Trump is just a chronic liar. Trumo came up with this talking point because it works. Of people didn’t believe Trump’s lies, we wouldn’t be worried about the election.

I don’t think Filmore is MAGA, but I think Filmore can be a bit dim and gullible. I still remember the “Republicans war on transgender” thread here in the Pit, where the argument was made that gender reassignment surgery should be held off until a child grows up, and it’s awful that small children are getting surgeries done. Which prompted many people to point out that no doctor is doing gender reassignment surgery to young children, that’s just a right wing myth used to anger stupid people.
So yeah, not MAGA, not convinced they’re a troll, but pretty dumb and the insistence that the McD issue is an important one is consistent with previous stupid opinions.
Filmore is deliberately ignoring questions concerning what happens if Harris answers the stupid question and what about questioning Trump doing much worse much more often. I even gave a direct example today about Trump lying about mid school unauthorized sex changes on minors and asked them, and got no response. Too many chances-They are MAGA troll.
Your advice that both sides have reached an impasse, so one side (and you’ll never guess which one) walks away? Right. Again I ask: Why does your advice apply to one side, but not the other?
Tomorrow’s debate, Trump states, “You lied, kamalagala! You didn’t work at McD’s because you never served me a Big Mac with tears in your eyes…”
She says, “Yes, I did. Check my tax returns.”
Or better yet says, “Check your local McD’s tax returns for loss on ketchup packets.”
Hope it doesn’t turn to that, but why this is an issue is frightening, compared to the, “She lied, never met her, funds are funds, where’s the military that disappeared, yadda, boota, yiminaga forfrution. “

There isn’t anything to address. Everyone here knows that Trump is a liar. The argument filmore is making is that enough people believe Trump’s lie that Harris needs to address it in some way, even if only to make a snarky dismissal, like she did with the race question. I currently disagree, but Loach has given me reason to think I’ve missed stuff. (Twitter has finally figured out I’m not MAGA,)
Also, I believe Walz has actually debunked the lie you mentioned, using Trump’s own words but making it about guns and shootings. So that’s an example of a lie actually worth addressing.

Uh, yes? (the bolded part). There is in fact a double standard in which Democrats are held to a much tougher truth standard than Republicans. Society does not really care about Trump’s 13,000+ lies, but one or a few lies by Harris could mean serious trouble for her campaign. (Note that I am not saying Kamala is lying about working at McDonald’s - rather, I’m saying that IF she were to ever be caught in a lie someday, it would be a much bigger deal to the U.S. public than anything Trump utters.)
