I remember people’s names and stories about them from some jobs, but not high school McD’s. My manager there would whisper as we passed each other at times during the day would mutter, “Don’t let them send you to manager training. You’ll never escape!”

Great article by the clear eyed and careful Aaron Rupar. Hillary Clinton made a huge error by treating inane gotcha questions as serious journalism. Harris has not only benefited by picking up the A-list advisors of the Biden team, she also has social intuition and charm that Clinton lacked.
However Harris responds to this idiotic attack, her manner and perfect pitch will matter a lot more than what exactly she discloses.

I remember my first job as a grocery bagger in Little Rock, Arkansas. But I don’t know the store name. I remember working for a veterinarian in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Don’t remember her name or the name of the clinic.
Its vaguely possible she worked for some less-known burger chain, but shes always says “McDonalds” because its easier than getting bogged down in "Well, we used to have this chain called . … "
