Did Kamala Harris work at McDonalds?

He released it in April 2011, years after he’d overwhelmingly won the 2008 election. So I guess Harris should release her pay stubs in 2027?

Clearly they’re wrong because she didn’t used to be black.

This better be a bad joke, because it sure isn’t true and thus doesn’t belong here.

TY, what a group of thugs losers.

Did you mean my post? Because it wasn’t a bad joke, it was a good joke, imo.

I have never worked at a fast food joint. But I’m thinking I might impress employers if I padded my resume and claimed to have attended “Hamburger University”.

I read this as “his Michelin Man of the Year documentation”, and I have to admit he has the physique for it.

Just wait for “McDonalds Employees for Truth” steps up, claiming that even if Harris showed up in a McDonalds, she never ‘worked the line’ and certainly didn’t earn the nametag or the polyester uniform. The Republican Caucus will hold Congressional hearings about it.

Huh? In what world did that help him?

In fact, we know that after Obama released his birth certificate, his enemies didn’t shut up. They started blathering about a “long form birth certificate”, whatever the hell that is.

That was found by a reporter, not released by Obama, iirc. And that did, in fact, completely settle the relevant factual question. Except it didn’t stop the endless speculation that he somehow wasn’t a real American.

I’m still nonplussed that he called my joke bad. :woman_shrugging:

I liked it.

Vindicated!

I haven’t read the entire thread, but if Harris said that she worked at McDonald’s in high school or college, I’m inclined to believe her. And if she didn’t put it on her resume, well, she’s at the level where she doesn’t have to.

Hell, I was a parking lot attendant during high school. I’m a lawyer now (just like Harris, though I’m not a prosecutor), and nobody, no client, no law firm, no court, wants or needs to know that I was a parking lot attendant when I was 17. And if they knew/know, well whoopee. I was in high school back then, after all. I wasn’t expected to know enough to be a lawyer.

The annexation of the Kingdom of Hawai’i was recognized as being illegitimate by President Grover Cleveland, and the sovereign monarch, Queen Liliʻuokalani was detained, convicted of treason in a kangaroo trial by the Sanford B. Dole-led Provisional Republic, and forced to abdicate in return for the release and commutation of the death sentences of her jailed supporters. In 1993, the US Congress passed Public Law 103-150, informally known as the Apology Resolution”, which “acknowledges that the overthrow of the Kingdom of Hawaii occurred with the active participation of agents and citizens of the United States and further acknowledges that the Native Hawaiian people never directly relinquished to the United States their claims to their inherent sovereignty as a people over their national lands, either through the Kingdom of Hawaii or through a plebiscite or referendum”

So, technically…Hawaii is not legitimately claimed US territory, and Obama is arguably a stateless person. From a certain point of view.

Some people have no taste.

I got it.

I like Jeff Tiedrich’s take on McDonaldgate (yes, I’m plugging him yet again):

obviously, Komrade Kamala is lying — because I slung the shit out of burgers at Mickey Dee’s is definitely a thing you’d put on your resume when applying for the job of Alameda County Deputy District Attorney.

Yeah, I’m in IT and I only list my IT-related jobs I’ve held on my resume. And I have had quite a few jobs in IT, so there’s no need to go back further. I had 3 real jobs prior to the start of my IT career that I don’t bother listing because they aren’t relevant to any positions I’ve applied to in the past 25 years.

I do not think so.

We have explained this i think a dozen times now. A W2 from “Bobsfamilyfreanchise, inc” is what you will get, not a W2 from McDonalds inc. The MAGAs wont accept it.

Yep.

Exactly.

And what would that prove in this case? “Yeah, I am Bob Brown, I owners a McDs back then and she worked for me”- quickly labeled fake news, and a liar, complete with death threads and a boycott.

None of whom would even vote for Harris anyway. I mean if your vote depends on whether or not she worked at a Mcds- you are insane anyway.,

And it is mistake-

There is a story in politics, commonly attributed to Lyndon B. Johnson, about how LBJ wanted to circulate a rumor attacking his opponent in a Texas election. Johnson, it’s said, wanted to spread the story that his opponent liked to have sex with barnyard animals. One of LBJ’s aides said, “We can’t prove he’s a pig f----r.”

“I know that,” replied Johnson. “I just want to hear him deny it.”

All that is untrue, but it would be a hijack refuting it.
