Did one of our posters make the Washington Post?

I just read an article about a Temple University professor who just got outed for writing conspiracy-theory and anti-Muslim posts on various messageboards. It was reasonably interesting–until it came to her preferred username: truthseeker.

Now, on the one hand, that’s a real common username. On the other hand, truthSeeker2 was banned from our boards a few months ago–specifically because of anti-Muslim posts.

Coincidence? Or did we let a celebrity slip through our fingers?

(Mods, I think that since this is a public news story, and since I’m not exactly digging around for information, this doesn’t violate any privacy–but if I’m wrong, I understand if the thread gets sent to live on a farm upstate).

Edit: I just realized I can look at the public profile, which states that our truthseeker lives in Delhi, India, and loves cricket, and is a software engineer. Probably not the same person. Neeevermind!

Truthseeker2, whoever they may be gives their location as Delhi, India, frequiently talked about India, and claims a first namestarting with Y. So probably not.

We do have 12 other variants of the handle, at least two of them never posted (or did and got cornfielded).

Right. By all evidence, this is not the same person mentioned in the OP. Since we are effectively discussing a banned poster, it’s probably best to close this. Should you care to discuss the person in the OP, you can open another thread in MPSIMS.
