Howdy Y’all! I cleanded da cave and put up a new ceilin’ fan in the guest room. Go Me! OYKW arrived around three and we have supped so life is good. Oh and I made brownies. I used a boxed mix. Don’t judge!
GrandMOOOOOOM bathroom is a work in progress. It was kind of a PITA to move the drain to the center of what will be a walk in shower but that’s done. The guy doin’ it was also sick with whatever that creepin’ crud/epizootis was that went around these parts for about a week and a half. He said he’d come over to do some stuff while he was sick but I told him it was perfectly fine with me for him to keep his germs all to himself. 
I want this done but I want it right so I’m not upset that it’s takin’ a while. Still haven’t done anything about the floors yet but that will happen in due time.
I wore uniforms to elementary school and shorts under the skirt on gym days. While it’s refreshing to see kids wearing clothing more to their taste, with the rest of the dress code in most schools, uniforms would definitely be easier on the parents.
sunny, my hair is light blonde as well and during the summer, I’ll put Kool Ade dye streaks of fun colors in it at times. The nice thing about those is that ten days later, I’m back to blonde.
Today began my covered up week of the month. To top it off, one of my cow-orkers is on a cruise for ten days and IT came bringing in a new desktop for me. The weekend guy needed Windows 10 for one of his tasks, so that’s what we got. It took me two hours to get things set back up, find where stuff was and have one of our departmental geeks make an adjustment to our database so that I could actually work. I still need to find out how to set the font across the board to geezer size. Once I find that (maybe big type to find the big type?), I should be good.
I never judge the use of cake or brownie mix. Nor do I judge the use of frozen or unrolled pie crusts. But if you use cream-of-anything-soup in any recipe, I will judge. You can still be my friend, but I’ll still judge. 
Anyway, my scratch brownies never seem to match brownies from mix.
100% chance of t-boomers tonight and up to 2" of rain! I anticipate a broken night’s sleep, dammit.
But it’s a short week, so there’s that…

I knew that was gonna happen. Product support called back just as I pulled the piskettis off & was trying to drain the water from them. They sat on the stove, untouched, for about 20 mins til I got the issue resolved turning into a glutenous mass. Olive oil brought 'em back, but now I need another bottle.
Moooom, I’m with ya on pie crusts, cake and brownie mixes as well as the cream of crap soup. Frankly, a simple white sauce is easier to make than shopping and opening the can.
I just found out that Nelson will eat the peanut butter off celery but spit the celery out.
Unsure of why my roommate is teaching a voice lesson at 9:30 at night. Maybe something to do with the fact she goes to bed at 3 AM or something and gets up around noon.
Whatever, it’s not like I’m being kept awake or anything.

I have always been a night owl. I can remember as a young girl reading with a flashlight under the covers then not wanting to get up.
Gonna sleep good tonight though since I did not nap and been awake since 3 AM ish.

nightshade, I doubt you went a whole week without sleep; at least you were napping off and on. (Unless you are Mick Jagger or Keith Richards). Still, some folks are night owls, others rise at the crack of dawn. YMMV.

Knew of a guy who used to do the same things around windows. Luckily he never jumped in at all or the judge may have been tougher on him. 
Windy? I had a 1967 FLH that loved open air as well.
No self-respecting Mumper name can have “class” in it; that is one of many reasons Ivory Tower Denizen had to be Soapy. Even that was too damn close to having class for around here. We have low standards and by God we mean to keep them!
On other news I got to scan tonight which I enjoyed so much I volunteered for a double tomorrow.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 70 Amurrkin out with a light rain with a predicted high of ONLY 81 (BRRR!) and rain/tstorms/apocalypse for the day. It’s supposed to rain tomorrow and Thorsday as well. We shall see. Today’s big plan is laundry and puttin’ up the last new ceilin’ fan. We shall sup upon brekkie tonight, pancakes, snausages, and scrambled aigs. Both of us have a gnawin’ and a cravin’.
I have no problem with cake and brownie mixes or sto’ boughten pie crusts. I do agree about cream o’ stuff as a white sauce is so easy to make and flavor up. Shades to tell the truth, a green bean casserole made from a scratch white sauce (I add ‘shrooms to the sauce) tastes about the same as one made from cream o’ ‘shroom soup when canned green beans (which I also have no problem with) are used. Sometimes I make it with fresh green beans and my own white sauce and then it is definitely mo’ better and nummy!
Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then, onward into the day. I should go ahead and get that ceilin’ fan up. Then I can binge on some Netflix. What? Netflix will not binge watch itself you know!

Boy, howdy, did we have a toad-soaker last night!! It was worse in some nearby areas - Spotsylvania county in VA has closed its schools today because of power losses. I guess lots of trees fell on lots of wires. But we’ll make up for it today with temps in the 90s and high humidity before more storms roll in.
N00b starts work at 5:30! I’m no longer the first one in! And I think he’s the one stealing my parking spot. No, parking isn’t assigned here, but when you get in among the first, you usually can claim the same spot. Not any more, dammit.
Thus begins another day in paradise. Happy Tuesday!
Think of it as being a throwback. Kids used to not be allowed into long trousers until they could be trusted to not rip them at the knees 
I’d propose Tuna for Serenata, but then I’d have to explain that a tuna is a music group, originally and in theory still one formed by university students, which can be hired to serenade one’s beloved. 's not a fish, it’s guys in 16th-century dress and capes with lots of ribbons (each ribbon should be a gift from a girl) and mementos from places the dude has played in (they’re allowed to get those themselves). Their songs fall into the realm of “it’s supposed to be completely un-classy to admit you know any of them by heart, but everybody does”. These are from a Law school, so they’re a lot more serious-looking than average.

Supposedly revising, actually trying to organise my camping trip next week. When I say organise a camping trip, what I’m actually doing is researching local microbreweries so’s I can provide interesting beer for the people who are picking me up and lending me gear. If I’m going by train on a complicated route, there’s a bit of a limit to what I can carry.
I just hope I’ll be able to carry all the beer without accidentally drinking it.
Tuna sounds like a suitably bewildering nickname, I say go for it!
