Did Tony Robbins really become a millionaire at 19?

When you listen to some of his motivational tapes (Personal Power II: The Driving Force) he mentions that he started a company and began making a “heck of a lot of money” at the tender age of 19.

He says he did this after spending about 3 years of simply “studying” and becoming the master of his personal financial destiny.

He goes on to say that the company went bust and he learned various sorts of lessons, blah blah blah etc.
But in it he mentions that the newspapers “wrote me (him) up as the new WONDERBOY”.

Meaning that in some famous publications (Don’t ask me which) he should have been labelled as some sort of financial whizzkid.

I’m skeptical. Thing is, I can’t seem to locate the company he’s talking about.

Did he just make the whole thing up?

I mean technically there should be a record of some 19 year-old Wonderboy, shouldn’t there?

Since Tony Robbins has been lecturing for 25 years, any stories of the 19-year old Wonderboy would have come far before the days of the Internet. So unless you know exactly which musty old microfilm reel has it, you’re not likely to find such a story.

However, his offfical website says:

*His work has been featured in major media including Time, Newsweek, Fortune, Forbes, Life, GQ, Vanity Fair, Business Week, Tycoon, Success magazines, the CBS Evening News with Dan Rather, NBC News, ABC, Prime Time Live, Fox News, CNN and A&E as well as newspapers, radio programs, and Internet media worldwide. *

So you might want to start with one of those.
