Did we land on the Moon?

I saw a show on Fox about how landing on the Moon might have been a hoax done by NASA. Of course, i thought this was totally ridiculous, and easily pointed out all the flaws in the evidence they presented. But my friends are now completely convinced that we didn’t (they are my 2 stupidest friends, go figure  ). My other friends and I explained to them that the show was just for a ratings boost, but they didn’t buy it.

So what do you people think?

All the info you could ever possibly want on the subject (dig those calculus equations!), and then some. Also, a pleasant argument.

OK, this ran on Fox.

The same people responsible for drivel like the probably-soon-to-be-shown, “When Animals Attack Alien Autopsies”–it is nothing but ratings.

“Temptation Island” anybody?

I’m just wondering when Fox airs a segment called “The Female Orgasm… Does It Really Exist, Or Do All Women Fake It?”

Creepy: was the moon landing was hoaxed…?
Screw FOX and those conspiracy theorists, the moon landings were real!
Charity drive to feed the empty heads of the Nasa/moon conspiracy theorists
Moon hoax, part 2
They’re gonna run that stupid Moon Hoax special again!

DId we really go to the moon?

If you don’t want to check out any of those threads and just want the Straight Dope consensus: no, we never landed on the moon. NASA are such screw-ups that they missed and landed on Mars instead! Look closely at those “moon landing” films again … the gravity is only 1/3 Earth’s, not 1/6! They didn’t bring back moon rocks, they brought back Mars rocks (if they went to the moon, they would have brought back cheese).

Good thing TV was black and white back then otherwise people would have seen that everything was red.

(to the OP — yes, we landed on the moon. Check out those links and The Bad Astronomer’s website. I’ll let him post the link since he missed the chance in General Questions today. Of course, his website is already cited in each of those SDMB links!)
