Did you feel the quake and where are you?

We didn’t feel it in the Lakes region, either. I’m kind of surprised it was felt in Boston and Burlington, VT.

Outside of Nashville - didn’t feel anything.

StG

Richmond VA, oh yeah I felt it.

Wow. Wikipedia’s list of examples of Richter magnitudes already lists this one.

Niagara Falls, NY–yes, as did several other co-workers. They originally thought it was drilling outside of our office causing the shaking, but I thought it felt more like the one earthquake I’d felt in California. I was surprised to be right about that.

Gaithersburg, MD. Yup!

Greensboro NC about 170 miles from the epicenter definitely felt it.

North/Central NJ- definitely felt it in my office building. I was wondering why my window blinds were swaying, then I felt my chair moving. Very strange.

Texted my wife on the beach in DE; she hadn’t felt it there.

Canton MA, nadda.

I’m in D.C. I was putting my bike in the car when I had an unnerving sensation, accompanied by the trees shaking as if there was a huge gust of wind, but with no gust of wind. I would have guessed it lasted about 5 seconds. I didn’t realize what had happened when I noticed the light poles wagging back and forth.

Somebody always has time. Timesunion.com was updated less than five minutes after. And I take it Twitter went apeshit.

I’m in Dun Laoghaire, Ireland and did not. :stuck_out_tongue:

However I did want to post here that the Lake Anna power plant is fine - it was built to withstand a quake up to the 5.9-6.1 magnitude range and went into automatic shutdown when this one happened.

I’m in Columbus.. Didn’t feel anything.

Central Florida and felt nothing.

Moorestown, NJ here, just a few miles from olivesmarch4th. We felt it alright - the building swayed pretty good for about 15 seconds, give or take. Most everyone just got up and walked outside when they realized what was going on. It was a little exciting for us earthquake noobs, but not a huge scary deal.

felt it pretty good here in Annapolis MD. Building shook for a minute or so. I was walking up a stairwell and there was all sorts of clanging and banging.

Got evacuated for about 30 minutes, and then back to work!

Boston, did not feel it.

I’m in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Didn’t feel a thing.

I would have defined “apeshit” as Twitter’s default condition, but then again, I don’t tweet.

Upstate SC. I felt it sitting at my desk, thought I was imagining things. Coworkers walking around didn’t feel anything.

Honestly thought the wobbles were delusional until I checked the news.
