Did you know this?

Rentals rap!

The last 3 cars I’ve owned have had an arrow.
I checked with my sister & parents, theirs do too.

2 Pontiacs, 1 Mazda, 2 Jeeps and 2 Chryslers.

OK, I stand corrected.

Huh?

A play on Reynolds Wrap, I assume…

I assure you that car companies do not have special instrument panels built just for rental fleet vehicles. Except for specialty commercial vehicles, rental fleet vehicles come from the same production line as vehicles intended for dealer sales.

Stranger

My Lincoln MKS has that also. My old 99 Mustang had an arrow pointing to the gas cap on the passenger side of the car.

Huh. Tabs present on the cheap-ass plastic wrap, but not on the “Saran Wrap”.

As to the gas arrow, my car has it as does my girlfriends however when we found this out a quick survey of everyone we knew showed that while many do, there are plenty of cars that don’t.

I learned that here on the dope! I never noticed it until I read it and now I always do. As far is it being on rentals? Both my cars have the arrow and they were bought new.

Have you tried Press’n Seal?

I certainly didn’t until this thread :smack:

If someone can get the search function going, we can look up a thread called (roughly) “Things you didn’t know until a ridiculously old age”. Did you know Pineapples don’t grow on trees?

In the wild they do. They are epiphytes, meaning they grow on trees but they are not part of the tree. I have seen them in Puerto Rico. In Hawaii they grow them in soil.

It’s an abomination and should be eradicated from the planet. I didn’t know about the tabs either but I’m sure they’re just there in case you still have any sanity left when you finally unwrap yourself from the half that you did manage to pull out.

I didn’t know about the toaster trap door either. There sure were a lot of crumbs down there that don’t come out when you shake it up and down. I’m amazed that we didn’t get food poisoning from it.

Did you happen to see the saran wrap thing on Wheel of Fortune? I swear they just did it with Reynold’s Wrap.

You people have been toasting bread your entire life and never realized their was a crumb drawer? I’m stooopified!!!

It looked like a box of Reynolds Wrap to me, but, yeah, hilarious that it came up on this evening’s program.

Mine doesn’t have a drawer and I don’t think that I’ve ever had one that did or I think that I would have noticed. Mine has a tiny little clip that allows you to remove the entire bottom but it’s not obvious unless you’re looking for it.

I came here to mention that Vanna and Pat played with a box of Reynold’s Wrap to show exactly the same thing on Wheel of Fortune last night.

However, as usual, I’m a little too late, since Chessic Sense beat me to it

They did

That’s why I use 5 mil visqueen…
