Did you know you can rewear dirty clothes instead of cleaning them

You sweat more, it’s just harder to tell because it evaporates quickly. Sweating works better in a dry climate because of this.

…and I forgot to finish that thought.

Lots of sweat = lots of “dried sweat” (whatever that is–probably salts and such.) Since you don’t stay wet, I guess that any stink-causing bacteria cannot flourish in your clothing.

I thought that product was for, like, furniture that you have vacuumed and spot-treated and is kinda funky but not a canidate for the curb. Yet. I have never used it on an item of clothing.

Any way trousers can be re-worn 1x but not undie-garmets or blouses/shirts.

And jeans/demin items can be worn for a week if I am not horseback riding or some other messy endeavor.

After a week though-boy howdy! It may be hung back up and be fine but I will be B-O-R-E-D of it at least. JK! Of course it gets washed.

Stick it in the dryer with a dryer sheet.

I dunno about you guys, but the main motivation of my laundry-cycle is to make the clothes fit the way they’re supposed to.

This might be b/c I buy a lot of “stretch” clothing, i.e., the type with like 2% Lycra, but my experience is that most of my wardrobe just doesn’t fit or hang correctly unless it’s gone through the wash.

Now, I have also discovered (at four p.m. when I have to be at work at five p.m.) that if you douse the clothing with a spray bottle of water and throw it in the dryer, you can “fake it” for a day if you’re desperate.

Febreze will remove most offensive odors, but it doesn’t do crap for the way the clothing hangs.

As for the rest of the debate going on here…get real. Underwear and socks should be worn once; everything else depends on what you did, where you did it, and how long you wore it. If you sweat a lot, wash it; if you wore it for three hours, you can wear it again. Towels can be used more than once, as long as they’re hung to dry and not wadded up or thrown on the floor.

Maybe I’m just not a germ-phobic kind of gal, but I couldn’t give a rat’s ass about whatever “microbial debris” my clothing picks up, either from me or the world in general. There are germs everywhere and there’s not a whole lot you can do about 'em, other than wash your hands and pray. I catch a cold once or twice a year and that’s pretty much it; I work with the public and I handle a lot of money and I also handle a lot of food and honestly the paranoia of thinking about it would kill me long before the actual exposure would.

I use it in my gym bag, but not generally on clothes. Actually, I use the ALL (I think) Citrus scent, which smells much better than febreze (more like laundry and less chemically). My gym clothes will sit in the bag sometimes for a few hours, and it gets musty in there.

As for washing clothes? Underwear, socks, and clothes I wear to the gym get worn once before their washed (sports bras get hand washed). Other stuff gets warn a few times, unless it’s really hot and I sweat a lot. Most of the clothes I wear to work need to be dry cleaned - I am NOT dry-cleaning something every single time I wear it, unless it’s something I wear once a year.

I’ll wear the same pair of jeans 4 days in a row.

They don’t stink or get funky or anything like that, and I have people close to me who would tell me if they did. If there are odors that need to be covered up, they go in the hamper.

I also take my pants off the second I get back from work and slip into my house shorts, PJs or sweats.

Some of you must just be sweating through your legs or dripping things out of your butt if your jeans are getting stanky after one day.

The first sentence sounds logical, I like to do that as well. The next sentence just makes me laugh, but I have to agree with the jeans thing - 2 or 3 times seems OK with me, as long as they pass the sniff test.
