His hands and head were trembling quite a bit.
Is this something new? I don’t watch “The Osbournes,” so I wouldn’t know.
Parkinson’s? All that hard living?

I believe it is from all of the medications he is on. When Sharon Osbourne was on 20/20 (I think it was 20/20) she talked about how he was on anti-depressents, and I think some others (all prescription). I am sure his past drug use has something to do with it also. I am no Ozzy expert, but that is what I remember from Sharon’s interview.
I caught that and the only thing I could think of was while I was watching was… perpetual DT’s??
yikes!

I didn’t see Ozzy on Leno as it is only 9:15 in my time zone. (Is Ozzy on tonight? If so I’ll watch Leno)
Anyway, Ozzy is on some serious meds. Between his drug use and the meds he is taking I am not suprised that the guy shakes. He is also pretty damned old for a Heavy Metal God.
I met Ozzy, he is my musical hero, and he is a truely sweet man. At the same time he is really fucked up due to his drug use. Ozzy isn’t in the best of health and, to be honest, I don’t think he is going to be around for too much longer. When he goes I will probably weep for months.

Wierd, I asked the same exact thing in my LJ Milo.
I was wondering if he had a neurological disease, much like one of our Doper friends. But since I don’t have cable, I am unable to keep up with the scoop on the celebs.
Calling what Ozzy did “drug use” is like calling what Larry Bird did “playing basketball”.
Back when I worked at a drug rehab clinic, it wasn’t that unusual to see older, long-term addict shake, rattle, 'n roll. There are a number of reasons why this happens. Some folks were destined to get Parkinson’s or one of it’s cousins anyhow. Some folks suffered damage from crap that drugs were cut with (one of the more gruesome tales involved Ajax in the smack…). Some folks suffered damage during episodes of overdose - any time you slip into a coma, choke on your own vomit, and require medical resusitation you’re running a risk of nerological damage. Some drugs - such as Ecstasy or a close counsin knock-off - might cause direct neurological damage.
Why does Ozzy shake? Only his doctors know, and maybe even they aren’t sure. But he’s proof that that sort of lifestyle can have serious consequences down the road.
He’s damn lucky to have Sharon to take care of him, and I hope her current health problems work out and she’s around lots more years for him.
He’s also drinking again since Sharon’s diagnosis. That could be part of it.
What Echokitty said:
If he’s really upped his alcohol intake recently he’ll go back to having the shakes.
I see it enough at work each morning.
He’s been shaking like that for years. I saw him on a TV show in '96 and he shook considerably throughout the interview.
