Michelle had a continuing role in a soap opera before that. I think it must have paid very well, for her mother talked about their accountant at dinner. I remember thinking I wished that my daughter worked enough to have to worry about that.
Not to hijack the thread, but are you the mother of the actress who played the character Monica on Pete and Pete? The context clues you were providing seemed to point me in that direction.

She was my oldest son’s first celebrity crush. He watched Harriet the Spy so many times he about had it memorized. He liked Pete and Pete too; I wonder if he realized she was on that show. So very sad.
Well, father, but not that one. Funny thing, though. The actress who played Monica thought she was the main junior actress. Michelle replaced her, getting more screen time and story time. In the lucky penny episode Monica and Nona had a big fight, which was hilarious because it kind of reflected reality.

I wasn’t intending for Voyager to dox himself; he mentioned that he was the parent of an actor who worked with Michelle Trachtenberg and I was just looking for confirmation if he was the parent of the actress I was thinking of (which turned out to be incorrect). I would consider it doxing if I had asked him for personal information like his address or phone number; I didn’t even include the actual name of the actress I was thinking of, just the character that that actress played (who, as Voyager noted, was not his child).
Good thing it’s so difficult to look up the real name of a character from a TV show on google or imdb.
I kind of did it myself when I mentioned my book coming out, so no worries. I brought it up, after all.
At my age it isn’t an issue. It’s not like anyone can fire me. I’ve been on message boards since 1975 or 1976, so I know how it works.
