BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
The Maryland Department of Business and Economic Development has approved a low-interest loan to assist the Silverton Marine Corporation of Millville, N.J. to establish a new operation in Maryland and create 175 jobs. The funds, provided by the Maryland Economic Development Assistance and Authority Fund will be used to help purchase a 66,000 square foot building in Salisbury’s Northwood Industrial Park to house a metal shop and fiberglass room for the manufacturing of small parts. The new facility will be used by Silverton Marine Corporation, an integral part of Luhrs Marine Group, one of the largest independently owned powerboat, sailboat, and sport fishing boat builders in the U.S.

As a side note anyone who knows a killer admin asst/office manager that is willing to move to the Eastern Shore of MD and can interview new hires, run an office and etc.etc. might do well to send Silverton their resume ASAP.
