Dinner is on me in Indianapolis.

I guess you never mentioned free food!!! Heh.

So for Monday March 24th it looks like the confirmees are:

Me, Inertia
Averie537
Politzania
bodypoet
Munch
Howard Juneau
AskNott (disciplinary lay off???)
vunderbob (7:30ish)
todd33rpm

With 9 peeps Daddy Jacks is out 'cause it’s like $25 per. Maybe Don Pablo’s on north Meridian in Carmel or a pizza place that serves brew.

7:00 sound good to everyone? Any other location suggestions?

7:00 Monday sounds fine to me. There are some brewpubs on the north side. Circle V comes to mind, on 82nd Street.

Circle V isn’t coming up in Yahoo!!! I hope you don’t mean Circle K 'cause, dude, that’s a gas station. Have you been eating there? Assuming it’s not a gas station, what kinda place is it? Brass and wood? Entree’s run about $15 bucks or so?

Monday at 7:00 is good for me too. Don Pablo’s, pizza, wherever! (Yeah, I’d be a little worried about rotisserie hot dogs at the “Circle K”!!)

I think he might mean this Circle V. If it’s like most brewpubs, it’s probably around $3-4 per beer, $8-20 per entree, depending on selection. You could always call 'em and ask them to fax you a menu so you know for sure what you’re getting into.

I’ll be there in September. Offer still good?

Sionach, I called the number listed at the link and it’s been disconnected. I’m about to leave work anyway so I’ll run by there this evening.

gatopescado: sure, just drop me a line.

Yeah!! My first DoperFest!!

Ok, so this is Circle V Brewpub on 82nd Street. here’s a map

I may be a little late myself. My dad was supposed to have surgery today, but he’s been bumped to Monday due to some trauma cases (he’s at Wishard.) So, I have to make an appearance down there after work (I work at 71st and Zionsville), then drive up to Castleton. Damn my dad for getting into his FOURTH car accident in EIGHTEEN MONTHS!!

Circle V be it dead.

Fortunately I’ve got the solution: BW3’s Buffalo Wild Wings at the northwest corner of Township Line Rd and 86th. It’s a smoke-friendly yet non-smokey sports bar with the requisit Guiness-on-tap. Under-21’s are welcome if that’s an issue for anyone. They serve wings (many, many wings) and burgers.

If need be I’ve a hotel room with room that’ll fit two more.

The place is on the north side of Indy. To get there from the northeast take 465-W over to the N Michigan exit. Exit at N Michigan and go south. Turn left (east) on 86th. Go about a mile or so and it’ll be on your left. So we’ll see you all there on Monday at 7:00ish.

Oh I LOVE BW3!!! mmmmmmmm…potato wedges with cheese!!!

Ok, here’s the REAL map.

BW3…excellent! Foodstuffs of the gods! I had totally forgotten about that northside location…ever since they closed the one in Bloomington, I’ve been bumming about ever getting a really, really good burger in town ever again.

I’m definitely in! Looking forward to seeing you all at 7 on Monday.

Oh crap. Stupid map link doesn’t work!! The address is 2514 Lake Circle Drive - easy enough to plug in at www.randmcnally.com
Todd, there’s also a BW3 in Broad Ripple, Castleton, and downtown, I think.

Hmmmmm…wings or burger?

I’ll plan to be there. I have to get my car worked on Monday morning, and that might throw a snag, but I should be able to make it.

I want to keep this current so nobody forgets!!

Sweet, good choice. Convenience and space are probably the most important elements in a DopeFest. It’s also right next to the location of The Worst Date Ever[sup]TM[/sup], so we’ll have at least 3 1/2 minutes of conversation covered. I’ll recognize bodypoet, but other than that, I’m not sure how y’all’ll[sup]1[/sup] recognize me. This is about all I have that’s even close to a recent picture of me - somehow I don’t think that will help.
[sup]1[/sup] Now that’s fun to type!

Munch is gonna be there! Whoohoo! Thought you weren’t gonna be able to make it, so I’m extra-excited now.
Although I haven’t been able to round up any soap yet, darn it. Next time, though, I promise.
See you all tonight. I might even be on time, because someone in my group sorta knows where we’re going.

Munch raises a good point. How are we to know who’s who?? I won’t have the slightest clue as to what to look for. Can somebody wear a T-shirt that says “I’m a Doper” on it?

(BTW - I’ll be in my work clothes - black pants and loafers, short sleeved blue V-neck tunic-style shirt.)

Munch, your link doesn’t work!!

Huh. It works for me… Anyway, it’s a picture of Mayor Quimby alongside a buxom blonde. The “Mayor” on his sash has been edited to read “Munch”.

Odds are that I’ll be wearing a green baseball hat with a gold shamrock on it. I’m a strapping young lad with sandy brown hair. Whoever gets there first should put probably put their name in for someone recognizable to us - “Cecil Adams” or “Ed Zotti” might be a good idea.

[sub]Also, if anyone knows of a decent free webhosting site, I’d be much obliged.[/sub]

Thankfully, at BW3, you don’t have to “put your name in.” You just order at the counter. Maybe I’ll make up a sign while the Pres is at lunch…
