This needs to be a thing. I told a few people about it at work and they thought it was an awesome idea. Alas, I had forgotten about it until this thread reminded me, and there was no time to seek out a prehistoric pal to lunch with.
The good news is, there is another Friday the 13th in July!

I will certainly obtain a dinosaur companion or two by July.
The SDaily article is a news release from ACS about an article recently published in JACS (J. Am. Chem. Soc., 2012, *134 *(16), pp 6887–6892) that has created quite a stir in the chemistry community because, 1) the paper is shit, 2) the press release is even more shit, 3) the paper is mostly self-plagiarized, and 4) the author is a former JACS editor and we expect better.
