Back in 2007, yams!! revealed to us the existence of Prehistoric Creatures day.
Is anyone celebrating it tomorrow? I only have a plastic Stegosaurus, plus I’m out of work right now, but I’m considering it.

I plan to take a Paraceratherium to lunch.
My wife frequently calls me a dinosaur–does that count?
Cool story, BTW!
I shall take a paramecium to lunch.
I’m such a bad person. I had to run an errand at lunch time; I ended up going to KFC while I was out & eating there…all alone. Should have taken some prehistoric creatures for a car ride so they could share lunch with me.
If you had a Tyrannosaurus Rex in the car, you could use the carpool lane.
I think I’d like an Anurognathus. It can perch on my shoulder as I scheme to eliminate Goody Gumdrops and the Beatific Band once and for all! AH HAHAHAHAHA!!!
We celebrated a little; my partner took a little apatosaurus with her to a conference in Dundee and I let a triceratops and a stegosaur read some old articles from Dinomania, about dinosaur scares in the 1920s & 30s.
Usually we’re a bit more organised and put up photos on Flickr, but not this time around…
<Bump>
Have you made your reservations for this week yet?
Somehow I’ve completely missed this al these years. I have no plans. I picked up a bumper sticker recently that reads GODzilla IS MY COPILOT, so maybe I’ll put that on for the day, even if godzila isn’t a real dinosaur.
We’re trawling through far too much stuff deciding what to keep when we move house soon, so I hadn’t even realsed there was a Prehistoric Creature Day coming up so soon. But I’m sure we’ll manage some sort of celebration!
It’s Prehistoric Creature Day again!
i love dinosaurs!
From where I sit I can see a couple of my dino gewgaws, a nice hardwood-carved T-Rex and a baby-dino-hatching-out-of-an-egg hand puppet. I guess you could say we had lunch together. Back in May I visited Oregon’s Prehistoric Gardens…they had a couple of kids in inflatable dino suits out in front, waving at passing cars and posing for family photos.
This thread is as good excuse as any to bring up an old thread of mine: Tyrannosaurus rex: everyone’s favorite dinosaur, right?
Had popcorn for dinner…at the movies!
If I have happy dino, why is the house messy???
The Werewolf can take his dinosaurs out today since it’s also a full moon tonight.
Thanks; you saved me from having to revive this thread myself!
We’ll be celebrating somehow but I’m sure sure just what or where. Plato, our beanie apatosaurus, will definitely be involved though, as he came to work with me!
Looking back a few posts, I see that on one Prehistoric Creatures Day he managed to attend a conference about the zoologist D’Arcy Thompson!
Every day is prehistoric creatures day for me.
