Disabling Mouse Acceleration in OS X (Leopard)

OS X’s nasty-ass mouse acceleration has been driving me nuts and I can’t seem to find a solution to it.

Does anyone here know of an easy way to turn off mouse acceleration? I’m hoping for some kind of script or command I can run in a term window that will just shut it off.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

ETA: My version is: Mac OS X 10.5.4

If you want to replace your mouse, I’ve found the ones from Kensington work well. They install their own driver that overwrites the OS X acceleration curve problem.

If not, there’s shareware programs out there that will do it. I use MouseFix.

I tried the app you linked and it took the edge off the acceleration. Thanks.

I have no idea why os x doesn’t have an acceleration slider in addition to the speed slider.
