Using Windows 7 Home Premium and Firefox 4.01. When I go to Options\Tabs, I click on “Tab Mix Plus Options” and the window appears and immediately disappears. ANyone know what I can do about this problem?
There’s really no specific instructions for that addon, as that’s an unusual problem. But here is the general procedure.
First, uninstall Tab Mix Plus, and then go get the latest version from addons.mozilla.org. That is the most likely problem.
If that doesn’t fix it, Uninstall again, and then type about:config in the address bar. Search for and delete anything that has to do with Tab Mix plus. Then type About:support in the address bar, and then clicking on Open Containing Folder. switch back to Firefox and close it, then go back to the new window, and go to the extensions folder and delete anything related to “tab mix plus.” Then start Firefox again and install Tab Mix Plus again.
If that doesn’t fix it, there’s something wrong with your profile.
First, read this article about any files you might want to save. Back them up. You can then uninstall Firefox and tell it to delete your “personal information” when asked, and then reinstall, and then copy back your backed up files.
I don’t have this problem, but I notice that Tab Mix Plus Options can also be reached directly from the Tools menu, without going through the Options window. That might provide a viable workaround for you.
