Discrimination at my workplace

I work in an electronics R&D lab. We use ¼ watt resistors in most of our designs. Each resistor has a “color code” to signify its resistance value: black = 0, brown = 1, red = 2, orange = 3, etc. By simply looking at the color bands, one can determine the value and tolerance of a resistor.

I think it is wrong to judge a resistor by the color of its bands.
