I think chocolate and fruit flavours don’t go together.
Neither do chocolate and mint, for that matter.
ugh!!

Until I had them the first time I wouldn’t have considered it. But instead of salt on french fries try pepper.
A greasy spoon BBQ place only served them that way and I got hooked.
Anyone else like:[ul][]Peanut butter on hotdogs, or[]Double-salted licorice?[/ul] People tend to ease towards the exits when I mention these. I have no idea why.
Ketchup should never be on anything cold. Ever. No matter how meaty it is. If it’s cold – no ketchup. Please.
My ex’s mother is famous for her Chicken-fried SPAM.
My brother likes to put Barbeque sauce on scrambled eggs. He also adds that sauce to a mixure of Mac & Cheese and Cottage Cheese.
In school, having lunch, I always used to get those little one-person packets of Philadelphia. My best friend used to ask me to get two, even though I usually only eat one. It wasn’t until a little while later that I discovered what she was doing with the other one.
Mixing it with smushed up banana. Ewwww.
Ohhh that sound’s goooooood. I’ve got bananas and cream cheese at home. I know what snack I’m having tonight.
This may not count as it was actually quite good (good enough I have had it twice), but I have had a wonderful concotion at a Northern Chinese restaurant in the DC area. It is a cold salad with standard greens. Mixed in are cold smoked pigs feet and it is topped with jellyfish. They of course use the tentacles and not the body.
I really tried it because if someone was eating something that sounded so odd I figured it probably had its merits. Yummmm!
Well, I don’t think it’s weird, but I’ve grossed out more than one person by putting a copious amount of sugar on top of my chilli.
When I was but a wee sproglet I discovered the culinary masterpiece that is cheese & raisin sandwiches. Since going vegan I no longer eat them… Someone else needs to carry the torch for dessicated grape and rancid bovine lactate sandwich filling!
looks around meaningfully
This just made me choke on my Vanilla Coke! The way you said it…
Food-wise I knew a guy in school who drank vinegar!
:smack: It says food combinations. The most disgusting food combination I can think of is tomato sauce and anything, I hate that stuff!
Pizza + buttermilk.
Unlike the aforementioned scrambled eggs and pork brains, I actually eat, and enjoy, scrambled eggs mixed with canned tuna. I have never heard of anyone outside of my immediate family (and perhaps my father’s parents) cooking or eating this.
I don’t know what all this disrespect of spam is about. It’s the PERFECT accompaniment to eggs when camping. Mmmm… . And how about a freshly sliced tomato and mayo sandwich on white bread for lunch…
But for truly bad? Apple butter on toast (white of course) with whole milk. Ugghh…

Did you say, licorice?
I’m not sure how weird this is, largely cause I can’t remember if it’s my own invention or not, but cottage cheese on toast is heavenly.
My mother swears by catsup in her scrambled eggs. She’s attempted to make me try it more than once. I think she’s trying to kill me.
And it doesn’t sound/ bad, but that’s the danger - trust me, the combination of mushrooms and melted cheddar is to be avoided at all costs gag.
Oddly enough, the idea of sour cream on waffles sounds really good. I’m not so sure about the maple syrup, but it certainly is intriguing…
Hot dogs topped with … cottage cheese. YUM!
I also love sausage and jelly sandwiches!
Thery’re also available in a fish & chips shop in Brooklyn, along with deep-fried Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and Twinkies.
