Disney's Marvel and Netflix Join Forces to Develop Historic Four Series Epic plus a Mini-Series Even

Sometimes I wonder if in the (somewhat distant) future streaming and download services will be seen as a public good.

Like, the movies, games, music etc will be for profit and have for-profit publishers, and you still pay money, but the “distributor” is the government in order to ensure that you don’t lose half your property because a company went under or didn’t do good enough backups.

Ever since they did a period Captain America movie I’ve put it in my letter to Santa Claus.

This is only very recently… and right now I know far more people praising “Arrow” then praising" Agents of SHIELD"
I’m very excited but I do wonder if it is too much.

Can someone sell me on the Defenders as a team? Because as I see it right now, I’d much rather have an Iron Fist mini-series followed by an Iron Fist/Luke Cage Heroes for Hire ongoing series.

I think it would depend on which version of The Defenders we’d be seeing.
Hulk/Dr Strange/Namor/Silver Surfer would be fantastic to fan boys, but securing the rights might be… difficult.

It’d also be a bit awkward to have an overlap between two major teams.

I got the sense from the article that they would be combining the characters from all four series into the team for the mini series maybe with some extras as well.

Yeah, they are basically doing the tv version of the movie plan. Introduce the heroes in solo ventures and then bring them together for the team movie–er–miniseries.
