El jéfe,
You place the tool on the back side of the divot, angled back from the hole. You then move the tool forward, pulling the surrounding turf towards the middle of the hole. Repeat around the hole, then tamp down the repair with your putter or foot. Do not replace the gouged out turf as you would a divot in the fairway, as this will just die anyway.
The purpose of this procedure is to promote the roots to grow and replace the divot. A freshly repaired ball mark will heal in 24 hours, a non-repaired ball mark may take up to 30 days to grow over.
BTW, slight hi-jack, if the Man wins at Augusta, grand or no?
BF
Are you asking if he’ll win all four this year or are you asking if he wins would that be considered the slam because he won the last three majors?
If it’s the first, I don’t think he will. I do, however think he’ll win at Augusta this weekend.
If it’s the second, no again. It would be quite an accomplishment, but technically not the “Grand Slam”.
Just my $.02
Thanks, all.
