It also looks like your cut got a little askew. If the blade gets crooked in the groove it’ll bind.
Not sure if these belong here, since I do actually sell them, but here are things I’m taking to market tomorrow.

Those are gorgeous! Lemme guess, you live a teeny bit upstate from me.
That’s what I get for buying really, super cheap blades. I really need to stop cheaping out on these types of things but, man, this crafting hobby can get expensive!
Thank you!
I highly recommend the Dremel “EZ Lock” system of cut-off blades. EZ406-02 Cut-Off Wheels | Dremel They are a bit spendy, but the non-hassle of changing discs is worth it. Nice tools make the doing more fun.
And wear your eye protection!!
Is that a laser cutter you use to make those cuts?
Very cool usage of the scraps of one in the other. Is there a woodworking term for this?
It’s a CNC router. I can’t use the cutouts from one to fill the other, it just looks like that. The kerf from the tool makes it not fit. I never even thought about it being that, it would be really cool if that worked.
Dang you kerf! And yeah, guess I should’ve figured that one out on my own. Maybe that’s why I’m a super amateur woodworker.
Does this count?
Andean eye pattern tubular band on my homemade band loom. Yarn is from my Scheepjes Colourpack. I’m currently spinning and dyeing to use my own yarn in weaving. So there’s that.

I don’t know why it wouldn’t count. Nice.
Thank you
I’m working on a project to create a lift top coffee table, so I’ll have a work surface at the right height when sitting on the couch.
I found a solid wood storage chest at Goodwill. I’ll replace the top and create a part that lifts up and moves forward.
I’ve already mostly sanded it down,
and selected some walnut boards to make up the top. Still deciding whether to play with resin again or not.
I will probably paint the center panels black. I’m not a fan of the naughty pine look.
The frame pieces and top will have a natural finish.
I’ll probably only need the back 3 boards to make the top.
Those are gorgeous. Really nicely done.
That looks complicated (and cool). What is it used for?
This is beautiful!
In Peru it’s used to either embellish or enforce the raw edges of woven cloth. If used in this way it is woven and sewn at the same time. As a standalone you can turn it into jewelry like a bracelet or a necklace, it’s very light and really sturdy. It’s made as a woven peace but it’s almost like a braid.
Very nice !
… I’m sorry, you made your own loom?
Color me impressed already, before you even started weaving on it.
It’s a rather simple contraption. Not comparable to a floor loom. But thank you . I started out on a backstrap loom, which I watched in action many years ago in Ecuador. Thanks to the wonderful internet I came across a weaving teacher who demonstrates backstrap weaving and I decided to make my own backstrap loom. That’s just a collection of sticks basically, and you always need a hook or post to hang your weaving from. Since I’m lazy and like my crafts to be done from the couch, I made this one from pictures on Etsy. It’s simple but it works. And it gave me a chance to resolve some shop class trauma, because I used to seriously suck at woodworking.
Yes. Yes, you do! This is SO beautiful
I haven’t done much knitting or crocheting lately - wrangling the grandkids and moving the in-laws have pretty much filled my days. But these are some afghans/lap robes I’ve made in the past. They went to an AARP chapter that distributed them to nursing homes or veterans homes. The ones on the bed are folded in half - they’re full blankets.
This one stayed home - my daughter asked me to keep it:
Nice! Is that Toby snuggled in Grandma’s blanket? He is so loved! I wish I had that kind of production ,the only blanket I ever made I gave up halfway. I did manage to make some cuddlies, though. But I’ve been stuck on a cuddly for my friend in the States for the past six months. It’s nice but a b*tch to crochet . So her daughter will probably start walking before I’m finished. It is nearly done but there’s always something else to do as well…
