Here’s mine.
She’s an original design. I should have made her a little bigger, but I think she turned out ok.
I did this nude a while ago. (May or may not be work safe. It’s tasteful.)
So, who else?

Wow, those are cool and really beautiful. My friend made me a piece of a dove with olive branch based on a Christmas card I sent her. It’s my prize possession. It has a similar feel to your pieces.
Here’s my latest (repeat from the sewing Dopers thread). I sent it out yesterday so I hope my friend’s daughter likes it!
Here’s mine. The star blocks are from a kit. I had no idea what to make with them. Didn’t want an all stars quilt, couldn’t find a complementary block that wasn’t busy, so I got some Civil War repro fat quarters and went really simple.
I have half the blocks done for a split nine-patch that Fons and Porter demo’d in their last show. You can use them like log cabin blocks, and they’re easy peasy.
picunurse, those are lovely. Is that difficult to do? Do you need lots of special tools and equipment?
gigi, I think that design would work with some really bright orange and purple floral fabric I have. Because it sure worked nice with the floral you used.
Sadly… this is my latest (4 months old!) and not my favourite. But it works well in the room and has plenty of space for future book purchase. I didn’t include the bottom shelf since that would reveal what dren we are using as an “end” table.
I am currently working on a walnut cabinet in a style that would have Krenov rolling in his grave, if he were dead, that is. As it is, I might have an 80 year old master beat me to death with one of his wooden planes, and I’ll enjoy it, by Gum!
FWIW, this weekend I am picking up all the wood and hardware to start building a nice, real woodworking bench
My Mom recommended those after her guild did a quilt with them. I like the idea of really light on one side, really dark on the other, and a bright red center! Or less contrasty sides and a black or dark blue center.
I’m talking about this, but instead of the split center square, you keep the center square one piece and in a color different from the light and dark sides. That way the centers stand out the way they do in a log cabin. Oh, like here but with a more constrasty center piece. like black against the red and white.
You made that?! Even the top part with the lights in it?!
::bows down
AuntiePam, it does take quite a bit of equipment, and supplies. Most people take classes, but I learned from a few books. I probably don’t do everything the way I’m supposed to, but I also manage to do things that “aren’t possible” since no one told me it couldn’t be done.
The glass can be pretty expensive, but I’ve been lucky enough to have a lot given to me.
The essential tools are a good glass cutter, glass pliers, a grinder, a soldering iron. I also have an overhead projector to resize patterns, good shears to cut patterns, tons of pattern/instruction books, even though I don’t use them very often. Supplies include, cutter oil, copper tape, solder, flux, flux cleaner. I know there’s more, I have a studio full of stuff.
I sell some of it, but don’t really make much at it. I think my dental hygienist is going to buy both of these. (cross your fingers for me)
Here’s one I’m working on now.
Here’s a stepping stone I did a couple summers ago. It took so much work, that I refuse to sell it for what anyone would pay for it. Who wants to pay $100 for a stepping stone?
FordPerfect, that’s lovely! My husband and I build one a couple years ago, that took months. We found one that looks a lot like the one we built (only better) for half what we paid for the materials we used. :smack:
Even made the crown molding you see… I am a bit of a cheapskate you see
And thanks btw
This is before I grouted it which I just did today.
I like that stone!
This shelf took me only two weeks to build and install, and took Mrs. Prefect 2 months to get to painting it.
Does photography count? I just got into film, but only have one scanned. Crappy scan, but it’s up: http://farm1.static.flickr.com/127/406310822_c886a8fe5a_b.jpg Otherwise, all I have is digital:
Is it OK to include a link to an Etsy site? (DOPERS – DON’T BUY ANYTHING! JUST LOOK!) I keep getting a “server not found” error trying to access Photobucket.
Anyhoo, here’s the link to my Etsy site. I just submitted some of my pieces for a juried arts & crafts show, which I have never done before, so I’m both excited and terrified by the thought of getting accepted.
Mods, if the Etsy site isn’t kosher, remove the link and when Photobucket is back up, I’ll post some photos there.
picunurse, beautiful stuff! I’ve always been fascinated by stained glass.
gigi, wow! Cool colors and patterns! (And scootch over, will ya, so I can join you in bowing down before FordPrefect.)
**
AuntiePam**, that’s a great design! Gorgeous!
picunurse I lurve your stained glass. I want to take that up.
Ford, that is beautiful! That looks incredibly hard to do.
Right here. A beret, which went to a friend’s sister.
My latest project: www.theesp.com
This is as of Monday night. Next week it will get some color.
This was finished two weeks ago – see the description at the bottom for the explanation or it’s gonna seem pretty weird. (closeups here)
I made a bear.

Here are a few of my favorite pieces.
This white cat is nearly 3 feet tall.
I loved this butterfly alas, it took a deadly tumble recently.
I think this kitty is very cute.
These next two are a pair. Yellow/Black Cat Red/Black Cat.
I love all the fabric crafts you all have made. I have zero talent for that. I usually sew something to myself, when I try. :smack:
OpalCat, I’m always floored by your talent. I’m a crafter, you’re an artist!
ZebraShaSha, of course photography is legal. You have a great eye. Another area I have no talent for. I have drawers of snapshots with no or partial heads.
You’re all doing beautiful work. I’m so fucking stuck right now…nothing is coming to me. I haven’t done anything since November! I’m hoping that once the weather breaks, I can sit outside and let the distractions drift away on a breeze.
Here’s my last piece (not sure if I shared this with the board before).

I am blushing… Two bowers? Must be my lucky day
As much as it pains me to end this worship ;), here is a gallery of one of the people I bow down before John Fry
freckafree, my sister has a site on Etsy too. If you are interested her site is called sageandolivia
picunurse I like your style in glass, it’s clean and elegant. Mrs. Prefect liked the nude.
