Inspired by TDN’s thread about his new burst of creative energy in his painting endeavors, I thought it would be fun to create a virtual gallery of Doper art. Photography, painting, textiles, paper…anything goes. I know there are a lot of people who’ve never displayed their art publicly (me, for one) and this could serve as a point to get our creative feet wet. There can never be too much beauty in the world.

I guess I’ll start (repeat of what I posted in TDN’s thread). These are a couple of my gourds:

I’ve actually got two needlepoint pieces I’m gonna frame this weekend. I’ll take pix after I do that.

How about music? This is my swing band that I play the double bass for (you can barely here me however).

Ok, I’ll play. Dagny’s Song is the last peice I wrote and recorded. The mix is a little off, I need to fix the begining.

I’ve got an instrumental working right now. I am still not sure how much I like it. I’ll post what I get recorded today a little later.

Your friend is very talented. The nude is beautiful! I love his use of color in that.

The gourds are pretty cool and I also like the drawings, esp. the minimalist line sketches. I can’t comment about the music, though, as I don’t have audio on my work computer.

Wow. Your photographs are beautiful! I hope you’re making some money at it, because you’re certainly talented enough. The fog/water shots and the barns are particular favorites. I love barns!
