I usually injure myself a lot. Partly due to not really being very handy even though I want to be and partly because it’s sort of a family tradition. I guess my worst injury (so far) was the whiplash like injury I gave myself while standing on a step ladder and trying to hang a bathroom cabinet. I couldn’t get the damn screw in the hole and then the cabinet started slipping and I couldn’t hold it any longer so it slipped down the wall and over my foot that was sticking out over the edge of the ladder, taking a couple layers of skin with it. This caused me to start to fall backwards off the ladder and in trying to right myself I wrenched my back and neck in such a way as to feel like a whiplash injury, I was in pain from that for a couple weeks. At least it made my foot hurt less.
