Do all DOTA clones use the same DOTA map?

Like it says in the title, are there any MOBA/Defense of the Ancients clone games that use maps other than the “Bases in SW and NE corners, three lanes, path joining them NW to SE in the middle” of the original game?

In league of legends, the 3v3 map has west-east bases. NOt familiar enough with other games to know for sure if that’s unique.

Obviously Dota 2 carries over the same map. League of Legends, Heroes of Newerth, and Rise of Immortals all use a variant of the Dota map with the bases, lanes, and river as you mentioned. As far as my research shows, the only action RTS game that does not base their map on Dota’s is Demigod; Demigod also has a variety of maps. Google Image search for Demigod maps.

As a side note, the Dota 2 logo is the 2 bases plus the river.

Thanks, Swords. I guess that answers my question.

Those are the major players, of course. In Warcraft III and Starcraft these were known as “aeon of strife type” maps, and there were plenty of variants with slightly different layouts (including some that supported 3 or 4 teams). Though SW->NE, creeping/jungling area, river was the most common still.
