Do any dopers know their Meyers-Briggs personality type?

I’m just curious how widespread this is. Recently one of my friends mothers who has a PhD in psych tested me as an ISTP.

Not really a whole lot of information about it on the internet but it seems intriguing.

Here are the basic descriptions of the different types:

There is actually quite a bit of info on the net, but I get better results when searching for the actual ‘types’, rather then searching for “Meyers Briggs”. The latter brings me to all kinds of sites that want to test me, the former actually gives me more info and theoretical type stuff on the subject.

I’ve never been officially tested, but I’d say i’m ISTP too.

I know there have been other threads about this in the past, but I’m too lazy to run a search right now. I’m an ENFP.

INFJ…two percent of the population.

Pisces.

Me too!

INTP all the way, baby!

I was ISTP when I got tested at uni. Years later I tested as an INFJ! And now, doing one of the tests in ParentalAdvisory’s post, I’m an INTJ. WTF? I guess there’s only one thing that stays constant in my life - I don’t like people LMAO!
Max

Maxxxie i have been told that it really wont be accurate unless you have an actual test done by a doc…if you are taking the online tests that could be why!

'nother INTJ

That’s why i’m skeptical of my ISTP assertion. I know one things for sure, I don’t like people either! Not that I hate them, but they really just need to get out of the way.

I was given the test as part of a “careers in psychology” class – I guess it was to maybe give us a heads-up on fields we might do well with, or others we might do well to avoid based on our personalities. The concept does make sense, since there’s a lot of options with a psych degree.

'Course, I’ve not finished said degree and probably won’t. Oh well.
