I really like DP scenes a lot, though some are much better than others. A lot of it does depend upon the camera angles–the standard shot, straight from behind, leaves you staring at a couple of hairy man-butts partially obscuring the woman’s butt. When that shot goes on for more than a couple of seconds, I find it a bit boring–though I find straight, 1 on 1 sex scenes to be just as tedious when the camera dwells on extreme genitalia close-ups.
The most interesting camera angle, IMO, is a kind of 3/4 angle–somewhat from the side, as watsonwil describes, so you can at least see the woman’s body, but somewhat to the back to show some of the actual penetration. This perspective also allows for a decent view of a fourth partner, should they include a third guy receiving oral from the woman (in which case I suppose you’re dealing with a triple rather than a double P).
I also usually find the “cowgirl” position for the woman to be more attractive than the “reverse cowgirl,” if only because the latter position (with the woman lying on her back, the guy underneath her doing the anal) looks really uncomfortable for everyone involved.
If the actress seems to be faking pleasure, or is in obvious pain, I don’t like it. And I really don’t like it if the guys act overly aggressive–a little spanking and dirty talk is quite welcome, but I’m turned off right away by anything like throat gagging (during oral scenes). However, I don’t consider these aspects to be integral to DP scenes in and of themselves (indeed, I sometimes see similar performances in straight scenes, and find them just as distasteful there).
Anyway, when a DP scene is done “right,” then it can be one of the hottest scenes you could see–IMHO, of course. I’ve no idea what it would be like to participate in such a situation IRL, though.
