Do you like porn situations that, by definition, excludes persons like you?

I seem to be in the minority among straight, porn-liking men in that lesbian sex scenes don’t much do it for me. Oh, I don’t actively dislike them the way I shiver at the thought of, for instance, amputee porn–but I just don’t see the point, apart from showing hot girls naked.

I’ve always had the impression that mine is the minority position, though.

I was also once of the impression that virtually no straight women don’t care for porn involving gay male sex. But I’ve been disabused of that notion, at least in its extreme case; I can name more than a few women of my acquaintance who get positively giggly with glee at the thought of watching two buff guys suck each other off.

All of which brings to mind the following questions:

  1. What is your gender & sexual orientation?
  2. Do you like porn involving situations that by definition exclude you?
  3. (Straight males only) Can you be aroused by well-done gay male porn?
  4. (Straight females only) Can you be aroused by well-done lesbian porn?

Answering my own questions

  1. Male, 90-95% heterosexual (i.e., I reserve the right to have sex with Matinkin if my wife consents and is willing and so is he.)
  2. Not really; see above.
  3. Written, yes. Visual, no. (But I prefer written porn anyway.)
  4. Obviously inapplicable.

ETA: It occurs to me that situations like white males who like interracial porn featuring white women & black men are somewhat akin to what I mention above.

  3. Probably not. There’s always exceptions to be found, but I’m not exactly a grand purveyor of gay porn.

Count me in that minority. I have no interest in lesbians. In my primate brain, I see it as being shut out of the fun. Now, two bi women making out? That’s hot, because I know there’s potential for me to join in. ETA: Even if I know there’s realistically no chance of it happening. We’re talking about fantasies, right? :stuck_out_tongue:

  2. About half the porn I watch is lesbian. The other half is gay male. I almost never watch hetero porn. If I’m watching a girl-girl scene, and a guy shows up, I usually lose interest.

In fandom, there does seem to be an abundance of women who pounce on the slightest excuse for “slash” (male/male romance or sex). In my experience they’re quite vocal about it, too.

  2. Since the porn I watch tends to involve men with super-hot bodies, then yes I suppose by definition the porn situations I like exclude me. Plus since I like “We’re straight but pay us enough money and we’ll put out” videos I’m by definition excluded there as well.

I also have a fetish for a certain act when it is portrayed realistically in porn but hope that I am never involved in the act in real life.

If I were to indulge in pornographic images I would agree with Skald – I’m not much interested in watching girls kiss. Or do other things with each other. I think I would be more prone to view images into which I could imagine putting myself … in a manner of speaking. I’d probably be more drawn to “soft core” of an individual woman. Not that I know anything about it, of course, but from what I’ve heard …
