I know there’s a divide in lesbian porn. There is lesbian porn that’s marketed to straight men and there’s lesbian porn that’s marketed to gay women.
But not having an interest in exploring gay male porn, I don’t know if the same divide exists in that genre. Are there some videos that are marketed at gay men and some videos that are marketed at straight women? Or is all gay male porn pretty much aimed at a common audience? (For that matter, are there enough straight women who buy gay male porn to make it financially worth marketing movies to them?)
Purely anecdotal, but most women I know who are turned on by two men prefer the softcore premium cable type stuff (True Blood, Queer as Folk) with kissing and nudity and fondling to the real stuff with rimming and penetration and the like.
Though I did have one she-friend who admitted to being very turned on by Corbin Fisher videos. Corbin Fisher is a high-end (no pun intended) gay pornographer whose guys are some of the most gorgeous in the biz and whose videos have great production values (lighting and camera work, etc.- and it does make a difference).
So the consensus seems to be that straight women who are interested in gay male hardcore videos (as opposed to other forms of porn) are watching the same videos are gay men - there’s no separate video genre for straight women.

As a woman who really enjoys forms of entertainment focusing on gay men, porn or otherwise, I can tell you the vast majority of us don’t really care one way or another over filmed porn. It’s more about the relationships and the angst and drama. And as with all porn, there’s not much of that in gay porn. Of course, don’t get me wrong, we enjoy ‘buttsex’ viewing too but in general it’s either written or drawn. Yes, yaoi is huge. It’s been getting bigger and bigger as the years go on. I’d even wager it’s the preferred form of entertainment for women like me. It’s almost evolved to describe any form of fictional media that involves gay men and doesn’t just refer to Japanese based things anymore. It’s just everywhere and in every form you could think of. Fictional stories, erotica, comic books, manga, webcomics, anime, fanfics, fanart. I’m not as ‘rabid’ of a fan of it as I used to be, but I can guarantee you, that unlike most men who enjoy lesbian things, women who are into this are hardcore. It’s almost scary really lol
Doesn’t shock me at all. Gay porn is nicely free of the low-level misogyny that can be hard to avoid in straight porn. And I don’t see any reason a lesbian couldn’t enjoy fantasizing about men or have a visual interest in male bodies.

I haven’t looked at any hardcore porn in years, but I always found straight sex portrayals kind of boring, especially cunnilingus scenes. Gay porn was much more interesting, if the guys were cute (not shaved head steroid muscle freaks) and weren’t doing anything too gross or violent. Just couldn’t ‘identify’ with the woman getting nailed, it looked dull and painful - finish up, already! And I don’t particularly care for ‘storylines and relationships’ to pad it out or pretty it up. Maybe there’s something wrong with me.
