Gay porn question

Not a lesbian (I’m a straight male), but the explanation I’ve heard from lesbians is that lesbian porn aimed at lesbians spends too much time on emotional relationship stuff, whereas gay male porn gets right to the sex. Doesn’t matter that it’s men; what matters is the straight-to-the-sex part.

OTOH, I’ve started to wonder if I’m a bit odd in what I like in porn. I’ve come across some “lesbian porn” (as opposed to the “hot girl-on-girl action” stuff that’s clearly aimed at straight men) and I’ve found I prefer it. I like the more story-driven aspect of it, probably because I’ve been writing erotic fiction since I was 14 years old (yeah, my early stuff was ridiculous, what with me being a virgin and not knowing what the hell I was talking about). I like there to be a reason two (or more) people are jumping into bed together, beyond, “Hey, we’re both here — let’s fuck!” Most of what I’ve come across has been the “older woman + younger girl” lesbian porn, which seems to be evenly split between who’s seducing who. My only complaint is that, for some reason, the older women in the scenes always have massive, obviously-enhanced tits. I gotta wonder if real lesbians want to see that, or if they do it that way for the benefit of the straight men they know might end up watching. If so, they’re wasting the effort on me — I like small ones.

I absolutely hate watching men performing cunnilingus in porn. They always seem to be working the camera, with their tongues stuck way out and their heads turned to one side so that the camera can get a clear shot of what their tongues are doing. zI prefer watching women do it because they just get their face right in there and go to town.

FWIW, I find myself fast-forwarding through the gratuitous blowjob when I watch straight porn. Unless it’s a “rough sex” scene, the blowjobs go on way too long and are as boring as hell.

Well, as a straight male I have approximately the same sexual interests as a lesbian, and I certainly don’t enjoy fantasizing about men, nor do I have a visual interest in specifically male bodies. In fact, I would expect that any woman who did so would be, by definition, straight or bisexual (and likewise, any man who did so would be gay or bisexual).

Ah, well, life is full of mysteries, and this is one for which the solution is particularly irrelevant to me. Shrug.

Pretty much my feelings as well. As a straight man, I can enjoy watching two women having sex - because it’s two women having sex. And I can enjoy watching a man and a woman having sex - because there’s a woman involved and it’s a depiction of heterosexual sex, an act which I enjoy. But I’d have no interest in watching two men having sex - I wouldn’t be sexually interested in either person or in the act they were engaged in.

Just the shoots that Felix Unger directs.

Sounds like you’re into the Girlfriends/Sweetheart/etc. studios. Don’t ask how I know the names of those studios.

The reason the older actresses have implants is that they’re actresses who were active in mainstream porn 10-20+ years ago, when implants were practically required to make it in the industry. It’s not that the current audience is demanding implants, it’s just that 's what the available talent pool happens to have. The MILF/older+younger boom has given a lot of the older pros a chance to jump back into popularity… and they also happen to be seasoned pros, easy to work with and direct, which makes them primary choices for a studio/director.

That makes sense. I kinda wondered if that was the case.

Doesn’t that make a mess? :stuck_out_tongue:

Reminds me of The Dicatator (2012):

Nadal: I am a Mac genius.
General Aladeen: So what do you do?
Nadal: Mostly I clean semen out of laptops.

Those are women that might be interested in men, but choose to avoid them because we are by and large evil to our sexual and romantic partners.
Plenty of men that present themselves to their communities as heterosexual would probably define themselves as gay if it wasn’t for guys being evil…

I thought so too, before doing a viewing of porn with a friend who objects to most porn as misogynistic.
You’re looking at this from the perspective of someone who doesn’t have a finely-tuned sense of misogyny.
Most porn is SUBTLY misogynistic… even if it isn’t humiliating or abusive, the scene is likely to not be even and equitable.
Hard to explain.
