I don’t mean the old guys with busy ones, I’ve noticed on my way to work on the subway and buses that a lot of the younger guys (especially the latio ones) have really nicely shaped eyebrows.
They come to a nice clean point and they look plucked. Can people have this without plucking them?
You know those killer “Charlie Sheen” eyebrows.
Do latinos just naturally have this? Or is this a new grooming fad amongst the younger types?
I don’t know about what the younger, fashion-conscious types do. I only pluck mine about once every two or three months because I think that the two-eyebrow look works better for me than the one-eyebrow look.
My nephew has really thick eyebrows. He’s a good looking kid and very fashion conscious. He plucks his eyebrows. They’re still guy eyebrows, but not super thick ones. I think they look good.
Actually, I’ll bet most of them have 'em waxed, and then a little bit of plucking after.
To me it often looks a little extreme. I get rid of my unibrow on a regular basis, but this business of twisting and tweaking and putting little lines in (reminds me racing strip appliques, on like a Datsun B210) gets to me.
I’ve inherited the same unfortunate condition as heresiarch |-) :). I actually would pluck my eyebrows, if only I had the patience to do it correctly. Since I don’t, I shave them, very carefully, once a week. I once freaked out a lot of people by shaving my eyebrows completely off, for a period of about three months, but the combination of sunburn and parents covering their children’s eys when they saw me finally convinced me to just go with neatening them up.
My buddy has very thick eyebrows and I think he plucks the unibrow part every so often, but he lets a little bit of hairs grow there (which looks really hot)!
My eyebrows are abnormally thick and straight. I take a little off the bottoms to give them more of an arched shape. I think it gives my face a bit more character. Without plucking my face looks too severe (think Burt from Sesame Street).
I didn’t pluck for many years because I thought it was a vain and unmasculine thing to do, but just recently I decided to give it a try and I think I’ll stick with it. I figure that if I can feel a little more confident about my looks then it’s worth the five minutes of extra maintenance every week (and the embarrassment of admitting that I pluck my eyebrows like a girly).
