Do men like to kiss women who wear lipstick?

My dad says that on the day he married my mom, he could barely kiss her because she was wearing lipstick.

I hate wearing lipstick, anyway, so no one has to worry about it with me.

I love women who wear lipstick- especially the really shiny glossy sort. It is very sexy. That being said- other that the thin "flavoured’ kind (mostly just a gloss) I don’t particully care whether it is on during kissing . Now, for a certain sex act- then HELL YES I like it.

I like lipstick on women.

Of course, if you’re only going to give her a little peck it’s a pain, but if you’re going to grab a handful of hair, pin her hands, back her against a wall, and keep at it until she whimpers then the time you spend wiping off the lipstick is inconsequential.

I don’t know about the other brands, but Clinique’s lipstain doesn’t come off without makeup remover (within the 12 hour window, that is).

Inigo, that was one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever heard.

I actually don’t mind the eye make up. It seems to be more artistic and reminds me of tribal painting. But as for the rest of the make-up…

…well, to be blunt, if I wanted to screw something that looked like a Sears mannequin, I’d steal one and drill a hole.

Actually I really think you hit it. I personally don’t like to kiss anyone w/ lipstick, and don’t think it looks that good either.

i definitely prefer a woman without lipstick. not only do i not like the feel or taste of it, i don’t find it particularly attractive. lipstick is kind of like painted toe nails, in that you will never hear a guy say, “hey! did you see that chick’s toe nails! she was hot!”

i also don’t like lipstick because i’ve heard that one of the chief ingriedient is animal fat. not nice stuff.

I don’t even go downstairs to get the mail without lipstick on; my face looks “unfinished” without it. Mind you, I wear little other makeup, and my lipstick is a medium-pink, never dark or bright red (the high-contrast photo on my web site makes it look much darker than it actually is).

Fortunately, I do not wish to be kissed, so it is a win/win situation.

There are few turnoffs more powerful than when a woman leaves a trail of lipstick on every glass she drinks from. If you’ve got that beat, then you’re fine. Just wipe the lipstick off him if you leave any marks.

You know, when you think about it, make-up is such a weird concept. But I buy into it, like every woman I know. You know, like I’ll wake up in the morning, look in the mirror . . . “Gee I don’t really look so good . . . Maybe if my eyelids were blue.” Cathy Ladham

I’ll have to amend my post. I’ve seen some lipsticks on some women that makes the desire to kiss them nearly terminal. So it can be an unambiguously positive thing.

I read this funny story in some magazine like Women’s Day once. A woman wore lots of make-up. Apparently, the man she married didn’t really know anything about make-up. So when she came out of the bathroom that first time with no make-up on he was stunned. I guess he thought she normally looked that way.

I really feel I look better with make-up, just a natural look. But I think most people can’t even tell I’m wearing it so what’s the point! Even if I go to a make-up counter they think I have none on.

Come sit beside me sister. I go nowhere without my lipstick. Even on days like today when the only person I’m going to see is the farrier, and I’ve no intention of leaving the property, I’m wearing lipstick. And my colour is almost always the deepest, darkest scarlet I can find.

I’m happy to be kissed, but since I’m single it doesn’t happen sufficiently often that I feel the need to give up my lipstick.

And ** Carcosa**, for a kiss like that, I’ll wipe off the lipstick.

It’s nice to look at, and in the right circumstances, it actually makes kissing more pleasant, in my opinion. Pick a subtle shade that works, match it with nice eyeliner and maybe some eye shadow. Skip the foundation and all the other hoo-haw. A dab of shiny lipstick and some well-applied eye makeup catch my eye quite nicely.

While I appear to be in the minority, there are definately guys out there who like women wearing lipstick, and love kissing them as well.

See http://www.lipstickfetish.org/ for more proof…

Like the way it looks on most women, if the right color/shade is chosen .
Don’t mind the feel of gloss when kissing. Not crazy about the feel of actual lipstick, but it comes off quickly enough anyway, so after a few minutes of kissing it’s a non-issue.
And for some reason, I love watching it be applied.

You know, although your OP asked “do men like to kiss women who wear lipstick?” I think you might do better with a thread entitled “do men like lipstick on women”. because altho i don’t care that much for kissing it (flavoured lip-glosses aside), I DO think it looks sexy and improves the “look”.

My mother decided at some point that she can’t leave the house without lipstick. Dark lipstick. And she’ll reapply it in the car when she arrives at her destination. So when she comes to visit me, it’s all I can do not to flinch when she greets me with a kiss. Then I have to go to the bathroom to wipe off the red smear.

Needless to say, I am not a lipstick wearer. I’ve tried it once or twice, while getting gussied up for formal occasions, but couldn’t stand the feel/taste of it on my mouth. And my hair kept getting stuck in it, and I kept leaving bits of lipstick on my beer bottles, and…well, just yuck. No lipstick, no gloss, not even Chapstick unless I’m out in a snowstorm or something. I’m not a big makeup wearer in general, though.

How you doin’?

Most likely the latter.

More than once, when I was younger, guys would tell me that they liked it when women didn’t wear makeup, and then point out as their example a woman wearing foundation, blush, eyeshadow, liner, mascara, and lipstick. The full works, just very well applied. The women who actually were not wearing any makeup didn’t even cross their radar.

This thread can die happy now. I think we have a clear winner.
