Do Mexicans Use Wedding Rings?

Nope. I just sometimes meet an attractive Mexican woman, and at my age I just generally assume that a woman anywhere near my age is most likely married. So, I’ll casually glance at her left hand to see if she’s wearing a wedding ring. It occurred to me that wedding rings might be more of a cultural thing than a religious tradition, and that perhaps they’re uncommon in Mexican culture.

Is Mexico one of those places that puts the wedding ring on the right hand? I’ve always been told this is common in Western Europe, many of which also have the Catholic thing.

rings go on the right hand in the orthodox church. some people will switch them to left hand after the service.

Wedding rings are also not worn by some American medical professionals, due to concerns about sterility and risk of infection, a doctor friend told me.

I haven’t taken my own ring off since my wedding day. It’ll be 25 years this August.

They need to have wedding rings to find out if they’ll fit in their noses.
